Just for fun thread: Who is your celebrity crush?

hmm, have a few. Jon Bon Jovi (how he looks lately, didn't like the 80s look), Lennie Kravitz, Prince (while he was alive obviously), and a few others I'm not recalling at the moment.

I don't know that I would go so far as to call it a crush, but I find Michael Franti very appealing.

My forever crush is Paul McCartney, but back-up crush is Hugh Jackman. In college I had a huge crush on Ian Richardson, the British actor. One time I traveled 3 hours to Brooklyn in a blizzard to see him in person in a panel discussion. It paid off--I got to meet him and talk to him and I was euphoric for weeks.

Funny, I'm not really into his music, I just think he's cute.

As for right now, I don't know. I will have to think about it. But here is a big throw back, way in the past crush: when I was a little girl and my friends were swooning over the teen idols of the day, my crush was...Dezi Arnez. I thought he was so handsome!

In the 70s I loved Donny Osmond. Keith Partridge was my second choice.

I dont have one right now. But I am oddly obsessed with Kristen Stewart, so maybe she is my crush. She is considered to be quite fashionable, and I watch her for that. Her highly affected speech and mannerisms, and her pouty bad-girl persona (less so as she gets older) are annoying/fascinating.

She is marginally talented and I dont especially like her films.

Edited to add: I watch Youtube for K Stew pieces and .i love the SNL skit she did about Totinos pizza rolls and football night. I also love the parodies of her affected speech by The Key of Awesome on Youtube, especially the original “Speak Like Kristen Stewart.”

I don't have many, but I'm kind of crushing on (Republican strategist) Steve Schmidt right now. Intelligence and passion--a winning combination.

ETA: and facial hair. A trifecta!

Princess Diana.....I believe she was the entire package if you will. Didn’t need much makeup, had the height, the natural beauty.

Intellectually speaking, for someone to sit and sip wine with over a fine dinner and converse about well read topics....I always thought Sarah Palin would fit the bill nicely. JUST KiDDIN’!!!

For a loooooong time my celeb crush was Serena Williams. But after she had her kid that kind of ended it.

Now I am into Dascha Polanco from Orange Is The New Black.

Also from that show I used to crush on Lorraine Toussaint!

But yeah, Dascha!

Define crush? There are lots of actresses I find physically attractive or have over the years. (I remember having a crush on Shirley Temple when I was under 5) I was at a family dinner in the last couple of years and I found an actress ahemable when I suddenly felt really old as another actress, playing her mother is one that I had a thing for, for years (type I am attracted to): Katharine McPhee and Lea Thompson. There is one I have always been attracted to and as a kid would have loved to meet, and that is Linda Hamilton. The gal I proposed to at first reminded me of her, now LH reminds me of the gal I proposed to and given how small I know the world to be (I can play the Keven Bacon game two different ways/less then five degrees), I wouldn't want to meet and spoil the fantasy.
(happened before where a friend went to introduce me to another friend of his and I still can't watch his show. It would be to me, the same as watching a parent/relative act, not going to see the character)

There's any number of celebrities I find quite attractive but few of them are "crushworthy" in my view. I have to know more about them than what they look like. Maybe the closest I get is for Samantha Brown, the Travel Channel/PBS star. Smart, funny, well-traveled, aware, pretty,... I'd travel anywhere with her.

Have to agree with you. I don't recognize many of the names either. Once upon a time, many years ago, I had a crush on Pat Boone but when I recovered from that I never had another. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYE2srBXCzQ

Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. He's smart, funny, friendly, not afraid to get dirty, can sing, and looks good in jeans and t-shirt.

Harry Connick Jr.

Around the age of 11 or so I had the hugest crush on jockey Steve Cauthen. Still have a scrapbook I made full of newspapers clippings and articles. Seeing him now, I realize how old I am.

Oh, Davey Jones of the Monkees, of course, and Donny Osmond when even younger than age eleven.

I've liked a lot of his work. His movie Wilson was shot largely in my neighborhood; that was a fun aspect of that movie.

His movie Money Train was shot on my block. Not necessarily a noteworthy movie but it was fun watching the filming out my window. The funniest part was watching them use a wood chipper to shred giant blocks of ice to make snow two or three times a day (it wasn't cold enough out for it to remain snow for more than a few hours) and then watch the PA shovel a couple hundred feet of sidewalk.

They made fake snow here when George Clooney and crew invaded my neighborhood to make the film Up in The Air.

I recall that growing up in San Antonio, Woody Harrelson's father was convicted as the hit man who murdered a local judge. Not sure if that is common knowledge but interesting that his son survived all that to become a well-known actor.

Back around 2000 I met Alan Rickman after seeing him in a play on Broadway. We had a photo taken together and we both have really goofy looking grins; I rarely show it to anyone. He seemed like an ordinary guy who wouldn't attract attention to himself. Too bad he's gone.

Lucky you! Mr. Rickman was a fine actor...no one could curl his lip like he could..yet he could play a comic role, too.
