I hadn't planned on putting my notice in just yet, but my boss approached me about a new project and would I be interested in it, so I had to level with him and tell him I'm leaving the end of the month. Whew. I had anticipated that would be a more difficult discussion than it turned out to be. Although I have many reasons for retiring, what I stressed to him was that my parents need more attention than I can provide just on weekend. Who can criticize taking care of family?
