House security cams for outside doors

Doing research on home security approaches, suppliers, concerns, etc - anything and everything that I should consider and ask about when talking to sales people.
My wishes are simple. A monitor for front entry, side door to garage and patio area. Low-key and easy to maintain would be wonderful.

I got several of the Blink cameras a few months back for this sort of casual monitoring, and they have performed "OK" for the price point and the lack of bother.

Bae, do you have them for indoor use? I was hoping for a sheltered entry monitor of anyone coming to the house. It seems that the monitor is for activity when already in the home.

I use the Blink XTs outside, they are weatherproof. The regular Blink model is for indoors
