I hereby cede all my territory on this forum to Jeppy.
Jeppy, you got the best of me. I accept defeat and will live in exile.
I take the L. Your Kung Fu is the best. You'd skillfully bait me like a pro, and I would clumsily take it like an amateur.
You beat me and you won the crowd. Congrats to you.
Teacher Terry, CathyA, bae, and others, this is a victory for you too.
Take care! I wish you all well.
I am off to find another digital space, hopefully one that is a better fit for me. :)

I wish you well, UL. You bring a unique perspective to the discussions.

I was unaware I was involved in a contest. TTFN

I am always dismayed when we lose a member of the Forum, especially when it is because they are made to feel unwelcome by another member or members.

Continue lurking at least, UL. When I read "raising the white flag" I hoped that meant that you weren't going to take comments of other posters so seriously. Your obsession is our loss :).

I was hoping the same as catherine. Sorry to see you go; I have enjoyed many of your posts.
It doesn't say much for a forum when a member or members leave because they feel unwelcome. Or, from another perspective, it says volumes about a forum when a member or members leave because they feel unwelcome.

In some ways a forum is like real life friendships. Some things have a season and don’t last forever.
I am off to find another digital space, hopefully one that is a better fit for me. :)

Would you consider one last post after you find a space you like? I have appreciated hearing about your life trajectory and your views on various topics.
Sorry to see you go UL, but really, you aren't a victim here. You give as much as you get, I would venture to say your reactions are disproportional to the initial stimulus. Learning to ignore slights at times is a valuable skill to master.
