Roommates/shared living seems to serve my simple living niece the best. She has her bedroom and all personal items have to fit. Shared spaces not cluttered-holding only what the 3 girls use regularly.

If you manage your clothing, your kitchen, and your hobbies well, you'll be on the fast track of keeping it simple.

I love science fiction also. Read the whole foundation series from the robot books through to the end. Watched Star Trek - every episode from 1960s through present day.
