I'm having trouble figuring this out. I try to avoid plastic gift cards since they end up in the earth. I'm trying to buy a VISA e-gift card that I can print off. Is this possible?
I'm having trouble understanding all the info out there on it.
Thanks!

No, you can’t. The Visa/MC gift cards all have the fee.

The only way to get around the fee is to buy a gift card for a specific store, send cash, or a check.

ETA: just saw it’s an e-gift card. Didn’t even know those existed for Visa/MC. Suspect the same still applies.

You might consider a gift card for Amazon or eBay if you want a card with a wide choice of purchasing options for the recipient.

Thanks Tradd and rosarugosa. I ended up buying specific store e-gift cards, since I couldn't find any VISA e-gift cards anywhere. Those boogers. :~)

Your bank might offer them, but another way to avoid that fee, is just to give cash.

It is amazing how many places accept that stuff.
