It is a bit too wet for a bonfire here.
Got mead?
Summer Solstice will be 5:44PM EDT on 6/20

I really, really, really DON'T want the daylight to start getting shorter!!! LOL.
Happy Solstice, everyone!
I'm with you there, Happystuff. I dread the shortening days.
I love fall. Shorter days don’t bother me. Just means diving season is on the downhill side and it was already two months short this year due to the stupid plague.

I love fall, too! I just wish the days were longer - LOL.
I always feel a little sad on the solstice, knowing it means the days will slowly get shorter and we're heading into the summer heat and humidity. I love the long summer evenings, tho.

And it is something like a pendulum ... it swings as far as it can go one way, then it swings back the opposite direction.
I received a "Blessed Litha" Card with a picture of a fairy riding what looks like a battering ram through the Big Dipper!
I can do with a little shorter days so the birds don't wake me up at 4:30 in the morning. It is not sad to me.

Time marches on, and once again we can revel in the Midsommer.
The summer solstice is the center of the 12-week period when we of the northern hemisphere may be able to see a circumhorizontal arc ("fire rainbow") in the sky. The angle of the sun is right for a possible fire rainbow during 6 weeks before and after summer solstice.

Happy Midsummer! Thanks for the reminder. Also, loved the fire rainbow! I've never heard or seen that before!
Bah Humbug! I love the four seasons but celebrate when Dec 21 arrives with the days getting longer.
In reality, it is what it is like so many other things and I choose to enjoy what is possible.
