Flat tornado-prone land with somewhat9 affordable housing though a bit far from the Mexican border to minimize potential victimization by the US Health Care Nightmare. Very conservative but you do get four seasons with an actual winter.

I would not wish upon Tulsa the potential violence I see coming. What do.you think - will there be headlines making US citizens live in fear/become further woke/cause the world to invest elsewhere? Rob

What is the violence happening in Tulsa?

A couple people close to me over the decades have told me that Tulsa is a nice place to live. I’m not excited about the idea of the dry plains of Oklahoma, but they say Tulsa is a bit nicer than the rest of Oklahoma.

America is a tinder box at the moment waiting for a ignition device to set it off. Tulsa historically has had issues with racism - the infamous 1921 massacre does not help matters. Not only that but a few weeks ago there was an incident if police brutality in which two Tulsa PD officers roughed up two black male teens for jaywalking - ON A STREET WITH NO SIDEWALKS!!!

Tulsa is a dryer and even more combustible and ready to ignite tinder box than Phoenix is - and here we live in fear of yet another visit soon coming of the Sociopath In Chief. Things arebon the precipice of Tulsa becoming Minneapolis or Atlanta on a large scale. Rob

It's clear there are brutes with badges everywhere; I wouldn't take advantage of this situation to chance trouble, personally.
Trumpies are best ignored and left to their own devices, IMO.

If everyone thought like you, Trump would be selling steaks by mail today.

But of course they don’t, so we have this ridiculous feedback loop of two equally idiotic camps making each other possible while a mendacious media amplifies and profits off their jackassery.

It’s sickening because the number of people that will be infected with the virus and spread it to others in their own communities will be huge. Karma should get the moron in chief who thinks this is a good idea.

Also, Trump wants an excuse to loose his SS on protesters to prop up his fragile machismo. No one should play along.

I wouldn't write off Oklahomans. That's where Elizabeth Warren comes from.

trump is already promoting violence. The mayor wanted to set a curfew and trump interfered. This is what the white house agitator actually said.....

Any protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle, or Minneapolis. It will be a much different scene!

That's still on the Mayor. Trump I do not think has any authority over the policing of the City of Tulsa.

If the Mayor and their public safety staff thought a curfew was a good plan, and got talked out of it by Trump, it's still their responsibility, and fault, if things go wrong.

"But Mom, Trump asked me to jump off that cliff, so I did!" isn't a good excuse.

Of course he wants a bloodbath. He and his crowd should be roundly ignored.
And Trump calling anyone else a "lowlife" is laughable on its face.

Even leaders from other countries backpedal when it comes to trump. It makes a person wonder what trump said to this mayor to change their mind???

Between the Tulsa Tussle, the Seattle Soviet, kneeling Democrats and presidential bluster, I’m beginning to feel like we’re living in a Tom Wolfe novel. The selective virus scolds and mask resisters, and the protesters against statues of Whittier make me wish he was still alive.

I have to say, half the time I don't know what you are talking about.

just a bunch of generalizations, that half the time don't apply.

Next it will be claimed that we know for sure Tulsa will lead to mass outbreaks, but I don't think anyone knows for sure, it depends if it becomes a superspreader event etc., it's merely a risky activity, like unproctected sex with tons of partners increases risks of an STD, but hardly guarantees one.

It's quite likely to be lost in the background of increasing cases anyway, that noone would be able to unravel anyway - unless we actually did contract tracing but we don't do that really.

Well, from the initial video shots of people inside the venue, we sure don't have to worry about many of them getting CO2 poisoning...

I just hope the Tulsa PD behaves itself. No police brutality, please - nothing like roughing up those rwo teens for jsywalking down a street that had no sidewalk. Tulsa PD officers not the brightest bulbs in the pack. Rob

I read he only filled about a third of the seats he planned on. Biden’s optimal strategy at this point may be to simply stay in his basement saying as little as possible.

I think the current scene has an over-the-top “Bonfire of the Vanities” scent to it.

Today you could retitle it “Performative Allyship and Occupied Protest”.

As much as I loved Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers, I'm disheartened to think we've made so little progress over time.

From what I'm hearing from the activist network, Tulsa PD has some 'splaining to do and upcoming lawsuits to face. Peaceful protestors were teargassed, pepper balled, and arrested. I see numerous life- changing amounts of lawsuit settlements - all unnecessary had the Tulsa PD not insisted on going full-on sociopathic law-breaking thugs above the law mode.

To not cash in equals consent. Remember this in any future interactions with US law enforcement. Rob

gosh, I will! I will remember!

What do I do if the police issued me a ticket for not wearing a mask out in public? How would I cash in on that? Or should I go along to get along?

The Tulsa PD here clearly broke the law as have many PD's nationwide since the cold blooded murder of George Floyd. To not cash in on them for assaulting/attacking/gassing peaceful protestors is to condone their evil thuggery and to consent to this illegal sociopathery being carried out on their next victim. You wouldn't want to be guilty of/consent to/condone that, would you? We're talking about basic rights being brutally stripped from you here - please don't trivialize this into a mere simole ticket. To do so.is to disrespect us all.....including yourself. Rob
