From the right I have heard that covid is made up to make Trump look bad and will disappear as soon as the election is over.

From the left I have heard that covid is a designed to kill off poor people so the top 1% don't have to pay as much in taxes for social programs. Another claim is that simple cures exist but are being withheld from people so the pharmaceutical companies can get money for a vaccine and we will be told we need the vaccine annually so they get money for perpetuity.

What are you hearing?

I’m hearing that there’s too many conspiracy theories out there to count.

Don’t believe any of that bullshit. This thing is real and I’m working in the middle of it.

Nothing worth listening to. People are getting sick and dying; I'm making a guess, but I'm not sure they care one way or another while they are fighting for their health and possibly their life.

Bill gates, 5G, population control, blah blah blah.
Plandemic, manufactured in Wuhan.
lI's just the flu. Wake up, sheeple.
Freedom, Constitution, libtards...Herd immunity!.
Masks will kill you, not going to live in fear...
Reading this kind of output from Russian Trolls and credulous QAnon types is discouraging and exhausting.

Stick to the real sources of information. Doctors on the front lines giving updates to other doctors is a real way to hear about the disease. Our politicians, FB posters, and much of the media (not all) are skewing the news to keep votes, ratings, or clicks.

doctors giving updates is a bias too though, by definition they see the worst cases. plus they aren't experts on transmission, that's what public health experts are for, but they have failed us in many ways. They aren't epidemiologists, they don't model case growth. They can't give us stats on number of cases except the one's everyone else has access to as well (from government). And they may very well be too overwhelmed by the crisis to be thinking much about future treatments (don't spin this into a conspiracy, treatments often require an infrastructure, they aren't in doctors hands).
