We bought this house 4 months ago knowing it needed work. We still have a ways to go, but at least we are over the worst of it.3386
3387 Here is the kitchen.
3388Looking toward the family room, we still are planning on new furniture and a large tv . couch may make it to the living room, we have no furniture in the living room now.
3389And of coarse the new dock.

the master bath is finished, guest bath still needs shower tiled, extra bath is done. Need to do something with the doors, probably paint them white. Of coarse we went over budget, but everything has been replaced. Still have some light fixtures to go also.

im really tired of home improvement. I’m going golfing next week, and fishing. And probably take the grandkids for a boat ride and few hours at the beach. The beach that you can only get to by boat, last time we were the only ones there.

The cabinet guys had to make three trips, my wife wanted the oven up high so she wouldn’t have to bend over to get anything out. The top oven could be a problem for someone on the short side. It’s fine for us though.

The new kitchen is terrific--what an amazing difference, and the flow is just lovely. The dock is my favorite, though.

Hoping you will be finished before you know it.

I had to do more of the work myself than I had planned. Seems everyone is busy, some would not even quote me a price. It took 90 days for the dock guys to start and they said they are now 6 months out. I’m hoping I can get someone to tile the shower, the guys that did my floors and other work are swamped.

Lovely! I am quite impressed. Enjoy your "empty beach" jaunt! The older I get, the less I like crowded places, and way before this pandemic, I stopped going anywhere that attracted lots of people (unless I had to). The beach with no one else there sounds just amazing.

You sure did a nice job.
