Tuesday night and then going forward in the event a winner is not called Tuesday night. We are on alert in the 85006 to both radicals stirring up/perpetrating violence, and to law breaking law enforcement. I'd advise the same nationwide, personally, and not to be out after dark unless unavoidable. Too much is unstable and uncertain and anger against America us rife. Be careful!!! Rob

If they listen, all will be well.I'm not a "spokesperson" - I'm just active in the neighborhoid. And you didn't follow my gist though I'll give you that it's not especially clear. We worry of perpetrators, likely rabid Conservatives (and no I'm saying any Conservatives here are rabid. I'm talking extreme ones that are OK with violence) from OUTSIDE the 85006 causing chaos. Rob

But don't you guys have the 85006 version of Neighborhood Watch to alert others and warn away any conservatives who may venture into the area? What would attract outside conservatives to visit there?

Tuesday evening will find me reading in the bathtub and listening to BBC Radio as I usually do. Regardless of what happens. I’m diving next weekend. NOTHING gets in the way of my diving. Only work has priority over diving. :D

I’m always armed when out and about, as I have been for some years. That’s nothing new or unusual.

We are gearing up for riots here in PDX. My DH in anticipation of his chosen candidate to win has purchased a bottle of champagne. I'll drink it either way...... just happy to have the message bombardment over.

I don’t plan on losing any sleep that night.I will. I'm working late that night and already have a ride arranged for safety. I will lose sleep if unrest develops - either in the 85006 or anywhere else in America. Essentially America is a powder keg these days just waiting for an ignition device. Let us hope November 3rd is not it so that enlightened people can continue to stockpile and save money. Rob

Talked with our neighbors this morning. They took their election signs down because they don’t want hassle from anyone next week. They are fearful. They have kids. Interestingly, they are Trump supporters.

Everyone is on edge. Doesn’t matter the side we take, we’re all a little jumpy. It’s been a rough year.

We plan to take our signs down on Monday. Just to be safe. We only have two. One is for a local democratic city council candidate. The other says “any functioning adult 2020”.

(On a side note, to add a little humor to life, a month ago an obviously inebriated and disheveled man knocked on our door inquiring about renting a room from us. He thought our sign meant any functioning adult could rent from us.)

I remember fondly when the winner would declare that we’re all Americans and we will move forward together, after every election.

I remain hopeful that the majority of Americans want nothing to do with violence regardless of their party. It is helpful not to look at news too much these days as they seem to enjoy stirring pots.

Probably there to visit the new neighbors.

Yesterday, had to take the cat to the vet (going to be alright, UTI), and someone had sent a comment to whatever was on that station......
"If x candidate wins, I am leaving the country. If y wins, I am leaving the country. I just want to leave the country"
The DJ said, kind of sums up this year. LOL
