View Full Version : more crazy talk
Every day brings new, bonkers b.s. Today Trump re-tweeted a picture of a doctor in an new, emergency COVID ward, just being set up, so all beds were empty, and the post fed the conspiracy theory that COVID is a hoax (since all the beds were empty). Pennsylvania's Kelley has apparently sent a request to the Supreme Court to either give Trump Pennsylvania, or just invalidate Pennsylvania entirely, disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of voters. Trump continues to get wilder and wilder - now the FBI, DOJ and Bill Barr himself are involved, in addition to a dead Venezuelan. A lawyer for Trump encourages that the head of elections for the U.S., who stated this was our most secure election ever, be drawn and quartered and shot. Guiliani said somebody else (I forget who, there's been so many) ought to be beheaded. Every day is more QAnon, conspiracy theories, and incitement to violence, which some Proud Boy-type will surely heed sooner or later. And Mitch McConnell just shrugs...literally shrugs when asked about what Trump and his allies keep saying.

I find it best to disengage from the Trump insanity.
If we are lucky, next January the media will let go of their frenzy of covering trump 24/seven. But I’m not betting on it.

He will mercifully be gone very soon though. And that is possibly the best part of it, no longer having to spend any more time thinking about that loathsome man (and family) and his doings. Already he matters less and less, I no longer know what he's up to, I no longer care remotely, and I bet this is common.
Sure, should do something about someone like that (personality disordered among other things) ever getting into power again but for now.
I am reminded of a balloon that the air has been let out of. He will soon be gone.

If only. Ldahl is going to have to go into hyper angry mode once he see’s rump’s post presidency attitude.

Naw. He’ll become one of those political novelty acts only a few true believers pay much attention to. The rage junkies will find some new Great Satan to fixate on.
I might be dreaming, but if he were convicted of a few crimes in his civilian life to further discredit anything he does. For now I'm mostly just glad to tune him out. I have the feeling that Biden is not going to go after him.
The fallout from his obscene rule will last long after he's gone.
Now he's speeding up federal executions and calling for reinstating the firing squad and the gas chamber. I think we're the only western nation that still has the death penalty, let alone one that features methods from the last century.
And why do his children and Rudy Giuliani need pardons? Time will tell, I guess.

Be free, that hospital is in Reno. The doctor took that picture in June before it was in use. Unfortunately 48 people are now in it.
