Not only did we flip Blue but the joy continues! A few days ago while Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey was being televised certifying Biden's election win in the state - Donald Trump called him. Ducey apparently had his phone set to Hail To The Chief for calls from Trump. So - Ducey gets a call from Trump - which he silences and ignores. As he puts the nail in the coffin of Trump's Presidency - via being the Governor of the last swing state to certify.

And this happened in Arizona! Arizona!!! Rob

Ahhh... if only a "silence and ignore" could have/should have worked on Trump 4 - 4.5 years ago. (yes, pre- last election)

a basket of deplorables, well may not have been PC, but 4 years of deplorableness later ...

I consider Mrs Clinton’s views on her opposition to be every bit as authoritative as her views on data security.

Should it be deplorable to characterize others as deplorable and if you do, are you deplorable too? Asking for a friend....

I think that would make you a metadeplorable.

Should it be deplorable to characterize others as deplorable and if you do, are you deplorable too? Asking for a friend.... no - wait - are you saying it's NOT deplorable when an elected leader lies to his constituents, does not listen to his own advisors, sacks people who aren't a$$licking yes-people even when they are in agreement with most of his policy goals, incites his base to violence to the point that we just EXPECT that to happen, tries to subvert our Constitution, and has melt-down twitter-fits on a routine basis? My kids at age three had better self control and more empathy (and toddlers aren't always all that empathetic, lol) that our current president. But we can't say he and his followers - those who espouse misogyny, racism/white supremacy, violence to anyone they disagree with, and are only concerned with the second amendment and THEIR OWN right to free speech (but threaten death to those who speak with different opinions) are deplorable? Really? So it's only ok to bash "liberals" and "socialists" but not the masses who follow and wallow in ignorance of our shared heritage and values? Just because they are NOT "liberal" - whatever that term means to you? Oh come now. That's quite disingenuous.

Since her basket of deplorable statement specifically listed the traits that made some people deplorable I would have to say no. Pointing out that someone is xenophobic or islamoobobic or homophobic does not indicate that the pointer outer is themself xenophobic or islamophobic or homophobic. But in any case many of the deplorable seem to be proud of their deplorableness. For instance the proud boys even use the word proud in their group’s name so you probably shouldn’t worry too much about it.

I think you're reading more into my question than was intended. I'll put you down for a 'No'.

Actually put me down for "not when anyone does it". I get that some people are super delicate when the unpleasant parts of their character get pointed out, but all I can do is shrug my shoulders. Actions have consequences and if acting/speaking in a racist or xenophobic or homophobic way gets one called a racist or a xenophobe or a homophobe they shouldn't be particularly surprised.

I'm still clinging to my guns and/or religion, I haven't gotten around to having enough time to be deplorable again.

You may be or may have been deplorable at one time, although I find that hard to believe, but I'm pretty sure you never fit into hillary's basket of deplorables. She was pretty specific and from what I've seen from your posts here you definitely aren't worthy of that title.
