View Full Version : How early do you see a tree changing colors?

I’ve noticed over the last 20 years or so, that I’ll see a tree, usually a maple, with some leaves turning bright orange and red sometime in late July at the earliest.

Saw my first on the way to work earlier this week. And yes, it was a maple.

I think it has started earlier in my area as well. The other thing I have noticed the last couple years is that the "season of change" is really QUICK!! Seems we go from green to none in just a few short weeks!
