My Hewlett-Packard SR-10 calculator. I lacked the fine motor skills for getting the best out of sliderules, so this was a turning point in my academic career.

My HP 12-C calculator ( actually two of them ), that saw me through two graduate degrees and a career in accounting and financial analysis, especially the pre-spreadsheet years.

My Air Force Commendation Medal. Admittedly the bottom rung of medals, but still meaningful to me.

My Classics Club edition of Seneca’s “Letters”. It kicked of decades of amateur philosophical inquiry.
