Well, Google used the word "birthday" on its search page. I just really didn't think it had been around this long, but then it doesn't surprise me that it has.

I do enjoy the Google Doodles. :)

So that would have been around 1998--when I was transitioning to market research analyst. I remember back then there were a number of search engines--for some reason I remember our IT guy preferring Dogpile. Little by little Google dominated, but it wasn't a flashy entrance at all, so that's probably why it's hard to think about it being around as long as it has.

I was introduced to it in a class in 2000; I use Duck Duck Go most of the time now.

Trying to remember what came between Alta vista and Google, LOL. While I prefer Duckduckgo now, there are times that Google does do a better job.

No, they have a browser for Android, that competes with the Brave browser.
