Everyone is freaking out because Biden coughed. There is an almost endless list of covid symptoms that are supposed to make everyone rush out and get test kits even though they are not available including hot flashes, sore throat, runny nose, fever, cough, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headache, congestion, diarrhea, nausea, chest pain, pale skin, sleepiness, confusion, and I am probably forgetting a few.

Colds and flus are normal in the winter.

I think the backstory to Biden coughing involves Jen Psaki saying just hours earlier that he was "asymptomatic and feeling fine" after disclosing he had spent a half hour on Air Force One with someone who then tested positive for covid. The use of the term asymptomatic caused everyone paying attention to think he had been infected.

Interesting reading between the lines.

It’s not surprising that people are trying to read between the lines since the last guy who lived in the White House apparently lied about being negative and went to a debate knowing he was infected.

I think what's not surprising is to have people fixated on Trump lay blame on him rather than a spokesperson's poorly worded description of the president's current condition. The use of the term 'asymptomatic' would lead even his most partisan supporters to think he may have been infected but was not showing symptoms, and to have him cough repeatedly on TV a short time later was enough to make those same observers wonder.

It could also be that Jenn psaki understands that it takes time for a person to test positive after being exposed to covid.

And sure, I can see how someone who voted for trump twice might be surprised that other people remember all the shitty things he did to soil the integrity of the presidency.

JP I set up the whiney whine thread so you could whine about Trump there (and I could whine about masks). That is a great safe space for your rants that you are not using.

LOL, I love your ability to stay on point regardless of the conversation.

To be fair, it’s really easy. He did so many shitty things that there really is one appropriate for almost every topic.

EVERY day tRump was involved in some dastardly deed. Hopefully he will be charged with racketeering!

I can enjoy a few trump tidbits. As long as he seems to be plotting his return a few reminders are nice, lest we forget. I think his degradation of POWs and a Gold Star families while he probably evaded the draft through some sort of phony manipulation will probably stick in my mind.
