View Full Version : Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all
It has been an interesting year. Wishing one and all a peaceful harmonious holiday week.
So far the weather has been cooperating so that my family can visit as we have all taken extra care this year and all have our booster shots as well.
Stay safe!

This weather in the lower Midwest is crazy, 70 degrees F today!
in a few minutes we are going to drive arpund city neighborhoods And look at Christmas lights with the convertible top down, and I don’t even think we’re going to have to turn the heat on.
Happy Holidays.
As you drive around with the top down, you can sing carols or have a chuckle at this version of carolling.

We're doing our 8th annual Christmas on a beach retreat this week. Walking barefoot in the sand on Christmas day has become a tradition I hope lasts forever. Merry Christmas Everyone!!
Convertibles and beach walks sound pretty good from here in the frigid North.
Happy Christmas, one and all!
Merry Christmas! Two more days of cave diving before I head home Monday.

A Xmas baby is wonderful!!
Nothing will get you in the mood for Christmas like watching Nate Easton of East Idaho New's daily giving from a Secret Santa. Each day during the month of December
they honor those in need with a special visit. Here is one from yesterday, they can be addicting, some will require tissues!

So good to hear that the problems of past year didn't hinder baby and mom this Christmas. Congrats to all.
That Secret Santa report was neat to watch.

Happy Boxing Day.
Here my foster dog, an old foxhound, is resting by the fire rather than running with the hounds on an annual Boxing .day hunt.

I thought you only did bulldogs?
He looks like an English country squire.
Country squire captures it perfectly. :D

I thought you only did bulldogs?
sigh, long sad story. I signed up for a 5 day foster gig to help out what I thought was a neighborhood dog. Going on 5 weeks now. Not nearby dog.
On my way home from FL.
Have a safe and comfortable journey after a remarkable adventure.

He’s cute IL. I ended up with Josie who was Maltese from a woman that only fostered Poms. She stepped in when the original foster mom broke her leg.

This foster Foxhound’s mom broke her hip and she’s 80 years old, and she’s not recovering well at all. This Foxhound lived with the 80-year-old woman for three years. Her future looks bleak. She has poor bathroom habits although is pad trained like a tiny dog. Except she’s not a tiny dog. She is very old and sleeps through the day, eats fairly well, but is very arthritic. I doubt that she’ll live a year.
The sad thing is that I’m going to recommend that she be euthanized because I cannot keep her during our moves and I didn’t sign up to keep her, and I told the people who handed her off to me I would not adopt this dog. As it turns out her original rescue organization recommended that she be euthanized as well. I didn’t know that when I took over this dog.

That’s sad about the foster mom. It sounds like it’s the kind thing to do versus keep moving the poor thing. Not being able to control Noki’s pain despite a bunch of medications and his back legs starting to atrophy is what lead to his end despite him being otherwise healthy at 13.
Seems like letting him go is actually merciful. It must be so confusing to him, missing his home and human!
