In no particular order

We had snow and I was trying to clear the driveway with the tractor. I slid off the driveway and into the drainage ditch. I had to call a tow company to get it out . No damage to the tractor, but a 250.00 damage to our checking account. On the way to putting it away, I skidded into our GMC with the bucket. Just got the estimate: 5,100.00. Insurance will cover that

Today, my Uncle passed away. He was a shaker and a mover like no other . He will be very missed . Here is an article about him

Also today friend’s horse had a freak accident, broke his leg and had to be put down.

I am so done.

I am so sorry about your uncle. Sounds like a miserable start to the new year with everything happening.

I don’t blame you, I am sure you will miss your uncle.
I too am ready to get a great new year rolling. Funny how just a date in the year can trigger new hopes and outlook on life!

What a great write-up on your uncle. He lived a wonderfully rich full life. Thanks for sharing this.
Good for you getting out and clearing the snow with a tractor under such slippery conditions. Been there, done that and empathize with the frustration and expense when slipping and sliding.

This afternoon my cousin emailed me about a family member having domestic trouble which lead us to reminiscing about the Stuart mafia (my uncles) and how they always offered to “pay a visit” to poorly behaved boyfriends for us girls. It is funny because these guys were always mild mannered. But one time they did “pay a visit” to their sister’s husband who was abusing her, and knocked his teeth out. This was after he had knocked her teeth out.

vigilante justice isn’t ideal but sometimes does the trick.

Chin up. It can only get better!
