My trainer contacted me and asked if I was interested in leasing out Koda to a very well-respected barn. This trainer is where Chippy was leased out to and another one of my horses (Ruby) is a school horse there. I sold her to this trainer in October.
This is a win-win for everyone: He gets off my pay roll at home, He will have a job and a teenaged girl will be able to realize her dreams. And he comes back to me when the lease is up.
My trainers usually hold clinics open to the public and that's where they get the up-and-coming clients who want to move up. But sine Covid, they have not been doing them.
This is great, because even though I was not going to show him this year, he is still a show horse and requires extra upkeep. Thats even more off my plate.
