Residents in a retirement home in Germany recreated a favourite movie scene for a calendar.

Which movie character and scene would you choose?

The first image that came to my mind was a waltz scene with flowing gown - don't remember the name of the movie.
After that, different images of The Sound of Music came to mind.

Probably a scene from Harold and Maude, if we could get one of those unique jaguar XKE’s turned into a hearse. I love several of Harold’s fake suicide scenes.

Wonderful!!! It reminds me of the movie Calendar Girls - in a way. LOL.

Hmmm... maybe this one...

Edited to add: This was the only way I could get the image, and my "Tarzan" would be Lou Diamond Phillips. :~)

That is the title given by the article for the person who put the calendar together.

Elsa Lanchester's role, except I would totally love Boris and give him a big hug!

Actually, I thought he was Cupid. Am I wrong? His armament would not provide much protection, his wings are kind of heavy and the weapon looks quite different than an arrow so now I wonder. Please advise.;)

You're apparently not up to speed on the adventures of Flash Gordon.

So being curious, once again I had to look up on Google - Flash Gordon and Prince Vultan. I had heard the name Flash Gordon but none of the other characters. My education has been enhanced once more. Sort of reminds one of all the zanyness going on today.

To be fair, I have always found love to be more like a club to the head than an arrow to the heart.

I wish we had something like 1930s pulp culture today. So much better than the thin gruel of warmed-over 1960s comics and 1980s video games we make do with now.
