Anyone else looking forward to opening day of baseball season?
On March 30th I'll re-watch Field of Dreams then on the 31st I'll listen to a White Sox game on the radio -- pure, classic American enjoyment.
Cleveland changed its name and logo -- The Guardians! As a native Ohioan, I gotta say I like it!
(Countdown until some midguided soul turns this thread into an anti-mask debate in... 5, 4, 3, 2...)
Do you really think it will start on time?

Baseball is the only sphere in which I am an optimist. So, yes, I do think the season will start on time and I think it will be a glorious season in a long, sunny summer!

Not a big baseball fan, but glad that Nascar is resuming!!!!
I love that you are watching Field of Dreams the night before.
I used to go with people from work to the Cubs opener. We'd sit in the bleachers and shiver and drink beer.
Baseball is one of the few things I highly anticipate each year. My hometown hosts a development league team, basically college kids, all summer from June through August. We get season tickets. So much fun to watch and you really get to know these kids. We're here in WA, but many of them come from up and down the West Coast and stay with host families.
It's a nice balance to the letdown which is the Seattle Mariners.

I think Field of Dreams should be required viewing for all immigrants to the USA. It should be part of the naturalization process.
Isn’t today the season opener for Division 1 college ball?

Not a real big sports fan, but always hear about opening day from a friend that always works it.
Convinced my boss to sell his golden glove, as we didn't need it sitting around screaming "steal me". Unfortunately, he turned it into more stuff/toys, that he brought into work.
Looks like we’ll now see at least a two week delay due to the ongoing labor dispute.
