30 years ago NASA upon request from Carl Sagan to turn Voyager 1 around and take one last picture of earth as it left on a long voyage. Carl and his wife, Anne Druyan, developed the concept. I watched this video and thought about the madness of humans' disrespectful behaviour as they focused on their individual prejudices and agendas each living in private self-righteous silo or echo chamber. What utter fools we mortals be! Have we learned anything over these past three decades?

It is amazing to think that all this turmoil and beauty exists on the same planet. Makes me sad to know that MEN continue to hate and kill and that my grandchildren will no doubt inherit a real mess.

I think it was one of the Apollo 8 Astronauts, the first group of humans to orbit the moon, who on the way back home said that he was shocked that he could cover up the entire Earth with his thumb. The entire history of the world was blocked out by a single finger. That must be an awesome experience.
