I have found that the time between 'being ready for work' and actually 'leaving for work' is an ideal time to do quick little to-do chores. Today it was flush the bathroom sink with baking soda/vinegar and hot water, open and put away/store the new kitty litter, and clean the tray I use for my sprouting jars. All nudgy little stuff that usually is left "until later". lol

I am trying to improve my ability in drawing after watching a course on drawing for beginners. Setting aside a 1/2 hour a day to practice. It is so easy to fritter those short periods of time away. Today I folded up the laundry that was air-dried. Need to do the sink trick that you mentioned.

When I was still working, those "quick little things to do before leaving" made me late more than once - I'm the queen of side-tractedness, lol. I'm trying to build more good habits into my daily/weekly routines, so last month I added a standing "to do" list to my daily Penzu journaling. So far it's working pretty well.

I have not been doing too well in the daily to-do's the past week or so. I did travel to see my mom - crossed off. Finally ordered her belated birthday present - crossed off.

As I am not working the rest of this week due to bronchitis, I will be attacking my to-do's between resting and will post again later. Hope everyone else is doing well.

I hope you feel better soon, Happy.

Thanks, rosa. As long as I don't cough, I'm fine. Otherwise - ouch!

So, I have made bread and dinner is on the stove (yes, dinner is an accomplishment because I haven't been doing that lately. lol), finished one child's taxes, balanced checking account and paid cc bill. As soon as I get info from another child, I can finish all the taxes! I plan to reward myself by doing a puzzle while I'm home. :)

I have found that the time between “being ready for work” and “leaving for work” is usually a negative number. Fortunately there are enough long stoplights on my commute that I can count on doing my hair in the car.

I’ve been on spring break this week avoiding thinking about school and struggling to catch up with my house. My break started with overnight visits from my out of town kids (all weekend), a grass fire (Monday), and my grandson throwing up all over my couch (Tuesday) I finally reached the point that anything I do today is progress (from where I was the week break started) (I’m still ignoring the backlog of papers to check, but even working on those would be progress) the burnt out feeling has lifted a little. I wish I had another week.

my big accomplishments for the week are disbudding triplet goats on time and giving the big boys their shots and wormer and trimming their hooves.

I remember when one of my kids was little and threw up on my couch which was fairly new. It took hours of scrubbing. Hoping next week is better for you.

Made a batch of laundry soap and remembered to pay the one bill that falls on a weird date every month.

Hey, Happy. I made a new batch of laundry soap today as well, raked all the cones off my back lawn this afternoon; got my spring cleaning of all the windows done on Thursday and was totally beat so took it easy yesterday beyond an extra long walk with the dog and regular laundry.
I read an article recently that introduced the acronym 'DIN' - DO IT NOW! If it comes to mind, do it now. I am trying to practice my art drawing for a 1/2 hour each day and start an intro aka something written each day to save the idea I had. Not succeeding very well but hoping that the DIN concept might help. Must pay the bills after I walk the dog in the strong wind and rain (yuck) when I leave this site.

razz - the DO IT NOW thing was my mom's mantra and it has plagued me all my life, lol. When things come to mind I START them, but then something ELSE comes to mind, and - look! a squirrel!! I am thinking I have adult onset ADD. I hope it works out better for you than it does for me, lol. My big accomplishment - in conjunction with DD- we finished a stack of jeans we had agreed to shorten for my DB. SO glad to have that off my plate, and my dining room table! DD is excellent at top stitching, so they look really good. Will return them to him tomorrow, done!

Bird feeders set up again and filled. I'm sure the squirrels will be happy - lol. Also resumed digitizing cd's with 12 more completed today before heading out to work.

It was a good afternoon! Made my work meals for the week, made dinner for tonight, put two meal portions of chicken into the freezer and put my clean laundry away.

Cleaned mildew off walls above shower in master bath. I had been putting it off for weeks (okay months, shessh)! DW did it last time and said it was now my turn. DD was travelling from east coast and she is a bit of a neat freak and I was under pressure. Funny when you put off something for so long, then you go and do it and it doesn't take much time at all and you wonder why did I wait so long! :|(
