Along the south wall of my house awhile back I saw poop. Now sometimes people don't clean up after their dogs, but they walk them along the street which is not really close to the house. You have to go up a steep slope to get to the house. I cleaned it up.

Yesterday I saw more poop along a different part of the south wall. Even if a dog got loose, I don't think this would happen multiple times in the same spot. So I think it is a wild animal?

We had similar by our garden beds - and determined it most likely was possum or raccoon - both of which visit our yards on occasion. I got the privilege of cleaning it up - per my DW's request.

We've also had poop in the gardens along our house that appeared to be from a smallish mammal. I always assumed raccoon, opossum, or groundhog.

I hadn't smelled skunk, but you all's guesses are good.

I'd say racoon. But here are a few guides that may help you out:

happy reading, lol.

It is a little tapered at the end, curves some - maybe possum or wild turkey. Interesting.

Wild Animal Poop? Yeah, well--it can come from squirrels who have bedded down in an attic space and left surprisingly large droppings. Yup. I just was dealing with that situation, today. For further information about wild animal poop,
