Here is a painting I bought last week. I saw it in Las Cruces, New Mexico when I was there in April, and I couldn’t get it out of my mind. I contacted the gallery and asked the artist to send me a photograph of it. Then I decided to buy it. It won’t be shipped till next month when we move to our new address. I didn’t want it shipped to the city because we have package thefts regularly around here.

I think you will see why this painting appeals to me! It is mostly conventional with a little bit of humor (The pieces of tape are part of the painting,)

That's a great piece! Love the painter's tape. I'm guessing it looks even more dimensional in person? I love "things on walls", and that's a double, if that makes any sense at all....

Oh, OK! I went to her website--I can see the pictures you posted as well.. Very beautiful in an ornate way! I'm sure they'll go well in your place? Which place are you going to put them in?

They reference organic, natural materials so they’re going in Hermann. The rectangular piece is so big, much bigger than I thought it would be and so it’s safe from cats because it’s so heavy they will not knock it off.

Her work is complicated and whimsical, which is a departure from most pottery. I love her layers of glazes and textures.

I liked her simple little butterfly jar.

it all looks to me like it was made by hobbits and that’s why I like it!
