Saw on the news today that Louisiana and Ohio have a referendum on the ballot that would allow non-citizens to vote in local elections? It is another way to cause controversy IMO.

I'm not sure what's happening in Louisiana but in Ohio the amendment does the opposite of what you've posted. If passed, it would forbid local municipalities from allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections. There are currently no local jurisdictions in Ohio which do allow this and the amendment attempts to ensure that it continues to be forbidden by state law.

The article's headline appears to be a bit misleading.

I read the attached article. As you stated,there are no jurisdictions that allow this so this is redundant and more of a way to cause more suspicion and controversy when there is no need.
