View Full Version : Architectural Digest: 9 Small Apartments
For those of us who are challenged with decorating small spaces, here are some adorable examples of small apartments, all in Paris.
I love the color of the first one--that blue is perfect. Not too "baby" but not dark and depressing either. Plus the architecture with those arches!
If you had to live in a small apartment, which one would you choose?

I probably like the 260 square-foot apartment best, the one with the wood wall and arches behind the dining furniture. I also like the one you like. It is disappointing we can’t see the entire unit for each one of these apartments. The only one I didn’t like immediately was a 300 square-foot one that appears to be in a cave or a basement.
It's hard to say from a single photo of each, but I find the idea of a Wintergarden irresistible!

There are more photos if you click on the individual apartment heading/link - but I can't then read it, because it's not in English :|(

The light blue was really pretty. Most of those apartments were too small. The smallest I have lived in is 855 sq ft which is perfect for just me. I really like having a guest room/office as well as space for stuff that I need but don’t want in other areas.

Ditto on the Wintergarden!
I like little things from each of the spaces - this piece of furniture, that built-in, etc.
What gets me in a lot of these type photos and stories is... where's the stuff? I don't mean extraneous "junk" stuff, but the normal, everyday bills, food, cloth grocery bags, coats, tv, etc. A lot of these places seem devoid of even minimalist essentials.
I don’t like any of them as is. I don’t like artsy-fartsy like these are.

Small spaces - I like them, I love to look at them, I just couldn't LIVE in them. I have lots of junk and it's important to me, so I'll keep my large full house of wonders (or horrors, depending on one's minimal vs maximal bent), lol. I finally got the translator to work so I could mostly read about the ones in this link - thanks for sharing, Catherine! If I HAD to live in a small apartment, please please let it be any of these, in Paris, of course!
