Anybody have any experiences and/or advice to share? Where do you get your seeds? Just starting to investigate growing in my kitchen. I seem to remember trying this a number of years ago, and having a horrible time with mold… as in, I grew mold, not sprouts. Greens are hard to find in the grocery stores right now, and with prices continuing to climb… thought I might give it a try.

I have at least one old thread out there explaining my process. I like True Leaf Market for sprouting seeds, very high germination rates.

Found it: http://www.simplelivingforum.net/showthread.php?13137-Winter-indoor-salad-gardening-without-grow-lights&highlight=Sprouts

This is the book that the workshop presenter wrote- I found it really useful. https://www.amazon.com/Year-Round-Indoor-Salad-Gardening-Nutrient-Dense/dp/1603586156/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1HB93XCEM32EP&keywords=year+round+salad+gardening+book&qid=1679223093&sprefix=year+round+sal%2Caps%2C85&sr=8-1

Okay---Somebody I know told me that they bought sunflower seeds sold as bird food, and then then used them to cultivate small batches of bean sprouts, to eat. Ity's spostas be yummy, but I don't know, I haven't tried 'em. But yeah---very nutritious. Yup.
