I see the President recently concluded a speech in Connecticut with that sentiment. Does this signal a policy change?

Ah, that explains it. Although many might take offense at a positive reference to God.

Okay---it may be a reference to the Vice President. We really don't know, that is just a guess. hope that helps you some.

But in grandpa Joe’s favor, I myself have forgotten, which of my elderly relatives are actually dead and which ones are still living. It’s hard to keep track of their exact place on the edge of the next world.

Since presidents typically give the much more yawn worthy (and completely pointless) god bless America, anyone actually curious about this, instead of just trying to deflect from their own party’s leader’s legal troubles would wonder what he was actually communicating to the individual he was apparently speaking to.

I saw a clip this morning of the president explaining how pistol braces should be banned because they increase a gun’s caliber.
