Kind of leaving this "time" generic as I certainly haven't been keeping up. LOL.
That said, today has been very productive!!! Fixed the latch on the basement door, fixed both the kitchen recycle and garbage cans, cleaned and covered the little electric piano, sorted through the kids old gaming system stuff and will have decisions on their continued existence in the house soon (LOL), made bread dough and did other various food related things.
It doesn't happen often but since my little to-do list is finished, I'm looking around to see what else I can get done before I exhaust myself. :laff:

I washed three bedding sets and air dried outside two of them. Things dry so fast in this hot breezy weather.
I finally did what I always wanted to do and said I should do and got up at 6:30am to garden. I usually work first, which means I get outside to water at the worst possible time of day. I planted some veggies, weeded, watered, and applied Neem oil to my asters and lonicera.
Also, instead of working on my report distractedly, I focused, set timers, took two short breaks, and stopped when I hit 4 hours of work--just like the Nearings... 4 hours of "bread labor." Now I can paint and go boating with DH!

Had a good day yesterday as I finally addressed a bunch of little things on my to-do list that have been lingering "forever".
Picked up a small pint of ready-to-use patching cement and patched three holes along the foundation of the house on the driveway side. (Not pretty, but it's done! LOL).
Picked up some ready-to-use grout stuff to try to "fix" a little patio table we had been given years ago, but had some pieces loose and missing off the top. Didn't work well, but at least no little pieces to keep falling onto the ground. Not sure if we will keep or put on the magic sidewalk. (Probably onto the magic sidewalk, as we never used it anyway).
Finally found the sneaker repair stuff and have my almost-new sneaker drying as I type. Hopefully this will work!!
Got some screen repair stuff to use to patch little holes in a couple of the screens that the cats "attacked".

We went to St. Louis to meet friends for dinner, and drove around our old neighborhood. noteworthy is that we dumpster dived—judiciously—several very nice and expensive garden tools +3 plant stands that were very sturdy.
My accomplishment is to talk to DH about what we would really do with that stuff if we grabbed it. We both agreed we’d probably trade in our own tools and keep these new ones. The plant stands are probably some thing I will use, but if I do not, I can give them away, I think. They are unusual because they’re nicely constructed.
Why is it special? Well, we haven’t dumpster dived seriously in a couple of years and we were judicious in what we took. I don’t want to be collecting more junk from my house even if it is nice junk.
I picked up my grocery order and got all my groceries put away.
I did my daily chores which include making my bed, sweeping the kitchen floor, washing the dishes and feeding the dog.
I emptied the dehumidifier and put the water on flowers in the backyard.
I did some prep work for my big family meal that will be on Sunday.
Yesterday - did grocery shopping as well as picked up a couple of other needed small items - finally. lol
Got on the phone and finally filed an "intent to file" on something that the deadline was rapidly approaching. Now gives me a year for the actual filing.
Organized and paid some bills.
Filled out the application to renew our passports. Now to get the pictures taken.
I did my morning routine housework items.
I did food prep work ahead of tomorrow's family get-together.
Ran to the grocery store to pick up a few things I forgot.
Cleaned the bathroom sink and toilet.
Filled the coffee cannister.

Wasn't sure where else to put this, so this thread wins. LOL.
I have spent the day cleaning my desk. It doesn't sound like much but in doing so, I now have all my desk drawers able to open easily. Lots of little things have been trashed, added to the donation pile or better organized. ;
The desk cleaning has also led to the cleaning/decluttering of other areas. For example, upon finding batteries in my desk, I took them to our shelf for batteries and ended up checking if existing batteries are good or bad and creating an organized location for both. This then led me to cleaning the shelf that the batteries were on. LOL.
It's been that kind of day and LOTS of little things have been organized/cleaned/decluttered. Nothing noticeable by any other family members, but *I* know.
It was a good day. :)

Today I got off my butt this morning and put new iris plants in the ground before the rains came. I got them in the ground just in time for pouring rain to start. Natural rainfall is so much better for them than blasts of water from a hose, and this saves me driving a hose down the hill.
Good thinking IL! I did 5 critiques yesterday for my two critique groups and worked on a new story. Mopped floors.

I walked through my house yesterday with 2 bags: paper bag for misc that can go into the recycle bin, and plastic bag for stuff that had to be garbage. In less than a hour both bags were filled- with just clutter, stuff that had no real home, basically unused, kept out of habit, I guess. It was So Nice to wake up to clear surfaces this morning!
That sounds like a great strategy, Mschrisgo2!
It sure does, I think I will do this today or tomorrow.
Both at the end of the school year and the beginning of the school year, staff and teachers feel the need to declutter. While normally a good thing, they also trash tons of new or slightly used supplies. I got permission to take some of the stuff being trashed. Ended up with a huge box that just got mailed to a friend who will send it overseas for a school there. Stuff is out of my house without ending up in a landfill. Yay!

That was good of you to make the extra effort, Happystuff.
So after a year and a couple of months of watercoloring, I posted a picture with the story alongside it on my private FB watercolor group, and I was touched with the support and good advice from many members of the group. It's not that I feel I'm much closer to being an accomplished watercolor artist than when I started, but I do feel there's hope. It's a fun hobby. I'm becoming obsessed. If I see a brush I dropped on the floor from yesterday, I pick it up and I start twitching because I want to just paint something!
Here is the copied text and painting.
"Last month our neighbor brought us a bunch of garlic he had grown, and tied it to the handle of my husband's shed. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the image was so beautiful, I took a picture--then thought I'd try painting it as a sketch.
When he came over one day I showed it to him and told him it wasn't done yet. I'm such a bad finisher I never went back to it, but he asked me about it the other day. I told him it still wasn't done.
I'd like to finish it now and give it to him as a gift. What do I need to do? I plan on adding more shade and depth to the handle and rope and touching up uneven areas in the shed and landscape. What else? Reference photo is on the right for comparison."

I like it just the way it is!
I think it's lovely and looks very accomplished to me, I can't imagine it being improved.
Wonderful, catherine!!! I agree with Alan, it looks accomplished to me!
I agree, frame it and then paint more--I did not know you were a painter, that is fantastic! You should write and illustrate a children's book about your island!

Notable accomplishment - FINALLY got the pantry straightened out and decently organized!!! Didn't take as long as I thought and I now have a clearer picture of what food stuffs we have and what we need. Still have a little bit of organizing to do, but the bulk is done!
Bravo Happy Stuff. Don't you love when it takes less time than expected. I read somewhere that to keep things tidy do anything (put away in the place) if it will take less than 2 minutes. 2 minutes is a long time if you are returning something to the pantry or cupboard in the right place...so it all stays neat. I've been working on that. My notable accomplishment is clearing my computer desk top so that my paper calendar is always visible...Trying to use the put everything away when finished!!
Congrats on clearing your computer desk, nswef. That is another area I need to tackle soon. LOL

Got a pump for the basement and now have it in a crate, hose hooked up and within reach of the electrical outlet. Is said to be working, but hope I don't EVER have to find out! With our weather lately, though, I feel SO much better with this all set up!

You are wise, Happy. There has been horrendous flooding in my town over the past few days. We've gotten off pretty easily with just some puddles & seepage in our cellar. I'm guessing the flooding has knocked out the heating systems in a lot of homes, and the temps are going to get really cold this week, so I foresee bursting pipes and even greater damage.

rosa, hope all stays mostly dry! We have a damp/wet basement and multiple pumps. And everything is up on blocks, including our new furnace, which is already on the high side of the cellar- they make "pads" for them for just that purpose. happy, I do hope you don't need to use your new setup but it's always good to be as prepared as possible.
I feel like my notable accomplishments lately have just been keeping my head above water, dealing with all the normal issues that abnormal people have lol, and trying to stay cheerful, solvent, and as helpful as possible. *sigh*

So it is shaping up to be a more typical Sunday. I've got wings in the cp (after making some homemade BBQ sauce), have my breakfast dish for the week made, laundry is in the washer, and sausage is thawing for tomorrow's dinner. I do need to run out and get a new belt.
I finally fixed my jeans that needed new elastic to keep them up, and a nightie that is on it's last legs, but can get one more season out of it!!!
Thursdays are always my busy day. After work, I have to pick up groceries for the following week, change out litter boxes, and collect all the trash and take to the curb. Not to mention cooking dinner, cleaning up the kitchen, etc. Yesterday, I also stopped at Petco. I make sure Fridays are the complete opposite. No running around doing stuff when I get home from work. I get to sit and relax. Sometimes I choose to get some Saturday chores done Friday night but don't stress about it if I don't.

got most of the smaller limbs from last week's storm out of one side yard. The other is full of a downed cedar, and will have to wait! Used my little battery chain saw, and was able to clear a lot with it. The larger part, now mostly de-branched - about 2' in diameter - will have to wait for adultkid#2 (I need a shorthand for that!!) or DH to pull out the big gas chainsaw. And there are a fair number of pieces that went too deep into the ground for me to just pull. But a couple hours spent and a lot of crap cleaned up! And that's it for today outside, I'm about done, lol.

Our Puerto de Gato solved one problem but created another. We don't have many interior doors in our house, and the cellar is the one reasonable space for us to shut up the cats while workers are coming in and out. The only problem is that we now have this cute little hole we put in the door, lol. Our temporary solution was to use an inelegant and cumbersome combination of plywood, the box from the range hood and 2 jugs of ice melt wedged between the cellar door and the wall opposite. Yesterday, DH came up with a much more effective long-term solution (the piece of plywood slides in and out of place between the slots). Now that the kitchen is done, we won't need to shut them away very often, but I'm sure the need will arise occasionally.

Definitely not a "daily" accomplishment, but working on it to be a "notable" accomplishment. Have started trying to organize my kids two huge containers of Legos! LOL. And I mean BIG containers! Sorting by color right now and trying to get some sets completed with pieces and organized in ziplocks. This will definitely take a while, but my inner child had fun yesterday. LOL
Happystuff, what a fun way to do some clearing out!!! I hope it helps with the 1st mother's day without your mother. Always difficult.

Now that summer hours are pretty much over (just next week of mid-day to early evening hours) I'm trying to start getting back into my night schedule. After work yesterday, I went grocery shopping and stocked up on ground turkey that will need to be processed this weekend, as well as some strawberries on sale that I managed to get from the grocer back to the dehydrator! LOL.
Planning this to be a "food" weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to report more accomplishments in that area.
Today is clean up the garden, harvest some things and put in some fall garden stuff. I am picking all the Pueblo and hatch chiles and DH will put them on the smoker so we can process and freeze for use later.

I didn't know you could dehydrate turkey. Does it keep well? Reconstitute well?
Actually, yes. I buy the 1 pound "logs" of ground turkey at Aldi's and, while still frozen, will boil them until cooked through. (I like that they usually retain their shape, so I know that 1 log equals a pound uncooked.) Once cooked, I drain and squeeze out the extra liquid and crumble each log onto a tray - 1 pound per tray. It usually takes about a day to dehydrate after which I put into pint canning jars using lids and rings (only need to be air tight, not vacuum sealed!) - again, 1 pound per pint jar. To re-hydrate I simply pour boiling water into the jar, rest the lid on top until I'm ready to use it in whatever the dinner recipe may be - just pour the excess water out of the jar and use.
That's amazing. I might try that. Does the dried meat keep at room temp or do you freeze it?

Got a few really little things off the list this past week - met up with an old friend for lunch - and attended a birthday party for another. I'm so NOT a socializer so this was stressful, but glad I went. And I got an ear re-pierced. I stopped wearing earrings much with my last job (security issue) and one ear managed to grow back closed. After 30 years! But now it's done and I can resume wearing my large stash of fun earrings. So not major things, but the sort of stuff that I tend to keep on the back burner for far too long.

It is fall, all flower shows are done. Now I can circle back to health issues and tidy up some things.
I completed these or made appointments to complete:
* donated blood

* RSV and flu shot
* Prevnar20 pneumonia shot
* audiology screening
* mammogram
Next, need to do these health related things:
* dentist appt for cleaning
* read up on Alpha gal (I still have no symptons)
*maybe visit doctor re: shoulder pain for RX to see a physical therapist for exercises

Today I marked with indelible pen “TOP “on a bottom sheet. I get so tired of trying to figure out what is the short side and what is the long side of these sheets. we’ll see how long this mark last through washings. Does anyone else do this?
Due to My last annoying Wi-Fi fix experience, I marked the two wifi boxes “ONT” and “Modem.” In one of the many calls the little help desk tech told me to do something to the “ONT. “I asked him which device was the ONT and he couldn’t tell me. So when the tech guy came to replace the equipment including the ONT we found out which was the ONT.
I knocked off another vaccination today, the RSV. But I found that the latest pneumonia shot is $270 if I get it at the pharmacy. I think I can find a better way especially since Google tells me Medicare DOES pay for it.
here’s a tip for some of you: our county health department gives vaccinations. Last Friday I went there get a Covid and flu shot, and there’s a list of others they give. They used my insurance cards. I think they might even have the Prevnar20 shot pneumonia shot. I think I still need a tetnus shot.
Good for you for marking your sheets! I happen to have a couple of sets of sheets that are marked "Top or Bottom" and "Side" It sounds so ridiculous but I never thought of just marking them myself!!

I got a mammogram today, 6 months late, but it is done. It was 23 minutes from the time I left my house until the time my foot stepped on my own property again. And 3 minutes of that was me dithering about where to park. See, our little hospital is mere minutes from my house.m
in the past two weeks I have also completed five vaccinations.
1. tetanus
2. covid19
3. Flu
4. RSV
5. prevnar20 (pneumonia)
coming up I have a hearing test, my first. I also need to set up a dentist appointment.
Yay Iris! We painted half the little shed! Iqueried (sent submissions) to 3 agents this weekend.

Well, so far this month I've gotten two of the immunizations I need - the pharmacist wouldn't let me do more than two in two weeks, bah! But flu and covid are done. Next will be RSV & tetanus, then I'm finally going to get my shingles vac, which I've been putting of for years. This was never a problem for me when the doctor's office did immunizations! Also filled out the forms and got the photos for renewing my passport, now I just have to send it off. And I have an appointment with a place that does pedicures/ingrown toenail help, which I want to check out before allowing the podiatrist to laser kill my toenails. Second opinions and all that.... Baby steps, as always, lol. Scheduling checkups, yearly mammo, etc. that are done at one appointment for the next are never a problem, but things I have to schedule on my own get pushed back easily. *sigh*

that’s good. Get that shingles inoculation! I believe it’s a two-step process if I remember right. I got mine several years ago. In fact, that was the one inoculation I was planning to get back in the days when I wasn’t getting inoculations prior to Covid. I DO NOT want shingles!!!!
early morning
11-9-24, 3:04pm
Oh, agreed on the shingles - DH had them when we were first married, back in the 70s, and he was beyond miserable! My grandmother also had them, and DD had a minor case a few years ago. And yet I procrastinate... I gotta say, it really helps when I have an appointment. I KEEP appointments. But the pharmacy my insurance pays for does not do appointments for shots at this time. They did for the first covid vaccines, but now, nope. And it is so easy to NOT go somewhere! The struggle (for procrastinators) is real, lol.
iris lilies
11-9-24, 3:19pm
Yes my pharmacy is doing fewer inoculations these days and I’m not sure why. well I do know why, it has to do with the fact that the insurance wants a health provider to do the inoculation not a pharmacy. Anyway, I find that our county health department gives inoculations and takes insurance information, so I had several done there. In my tiny town it’s just down the street from me.

We got 3 shots in one visit, covid, flu and RSV. No interesting side effects.

Everyone I know who flies comes home with Covid. How can it NOT be a big risk with all those people milling around in the airport, then you get close to people when you’re going through the security lines, and then you get close to people when you’re standing in line for the plane and then there’s the plane itself.
I never really bought that that airplanes circulated their air so much that they were safe during Covid. I think that’s a lot of bs.
I decided to not deal with the shots this year either. No flu, no Covid. I ended up with bronchitis last week. Still recovering. It just happened from sheer inertia. Just kept pushing off making an appt at Walgreens.

I wanted shots at the doctor's office - no dice, they push you off to a pharmacy. I wanted three shots at once, pharmacist refused - two at a time, max. ARG. But I WiLL get them done this fall. I want us to visit my DH's aunt, who will turn 99 in December, and we will NOT go unprotected, lol. Ok, shingles doesn't affect traveling to visit her, but the others do, I certainly don't want to be in any way shape or form responsible for bringing her any sort of sickness. She's out and about a lot, so she's already exposed, (but it won't be from US, can you tell I'm sort of paranoid about it, lol?)

Those blank canvases are wonderful and scary. Since we bought this house, we’ve been removing plants from the front, and because DH is such a hoarder he will dig up a lilac bush and relocate them. And that’s fine with me, but really only one of them was worth preserving in my opinion.
But when presented with us vast clean space, I have to come up with a logical Landscaping plan. That’s why I went to the professionals. That did not go well. So I’m back to designing the biggest part of it myself after spending a good $4,000 On their choices and some of those have died. Supposedly we are owed replacements, but here it is November and they haven’t come by with them so I will have to rattle that cage.

I'd love a landscaper's plan and someone to do the actual labor! But my budget runs more to free plants and my stamina to little digging... and my yard looks like it, sadly. IL, I'm sure your yard is lovely! Which reminds me - I have one yard-sale hosta still languishing in a pot behind the shed. I really need to go stick it in the ground before it freezes. Has anyone overwintered hostas somewhere indoors??
My notable accomplishment today was getting DH out of the house and to the classes we're signed up for at the local Y. I've been going, he's been avoiding, lol. But today he went, and seemed to enjoy it, so maybe he'll start attending more regularly.

Actually our front yard isn’t lovely it looks like crap!
We are on garden tour next June and will be hanging a sign in the front of our house that says “work in progress…”
if I were going to overwinter a hosta, I’d put it in a pot and put it in my garage where there’s no super hard freeze but it’s cold enough to let it go dormant. That’s what we do with Lilies in pots.
I have grown hostas in outdoor pots for several years, not exactly purposefully, but they are in those pots and survive during winter so I let them stay.
DH declared cheerfully “today, I’m going to take all the hoses down and wrap them up. “
Ugh!!!!! every year he does this to me. I have $250 worth of Lilies sitting in buckets waiting for the rain to stop and the ground to dry so that I can put them in the ground. I will need to water them in. I need functional hoses.
Every. Damn. Year. he does this to me

Yesterday, I got two more of my immunizations done, and managed to get DH to do 2 also. Now we just need the shingles vac. Have to wait two weeks, so said the pharmacist. Had my semi-annual skin check this morning, will now have to wait on biopsy results.
I got my flu and covid this past Wednesday. Sick Wednesday night and covid arm still sore, but at least the swelling and red band have gone. Prayers on good biopsy results!!!
Feeling pretty proud of myself this morning. We're expecting frost soon so yesterday I harvested all my herbs and filled up the dehydrator. This morning I stripped all of them from the stems and jarred them up.
Made myself some breakfast.
Then I made a loaf of dill bread which I'm gifting a friend tomorrow.
Got a good deal done on my current stitch project while bread was baking...
All before noon! I like fall weather. It makes me a better homester. 😄
I am devoting time today trying to understand DH's inheritance finances since he is not interested. Cost basis, tax implications, where to move funds etc. Making some headway today and using a different part of my thinker.

I've just spent three years doing this around parents' estates so I have been grappling with the same material. We're not done yet, but hopefully near the end.

Thanks happystuff. Thankfully I've never had a reaction to any vaccines or other shots, just a tad of arm soreness sometimes that's easy to ignore. my mother used to always get big knots and bruising with any sort of shot, and I'm quite grateful that I do not.

Finally got off my duff and started organizing and listing some of the kids Lego sets on Marketplace. Hoping that doing it now with the start of Christmas shopping will generate some sales. But, the point for myself is that I finally started it. LOL
Today's to-dos:
Finish Christmas shopping for the kids and grandkids so can mail packages
Put up one string of lights on my fence
Finish getting seeds out of the Cinderella pumpkin that was the fall decoration on the front stoop so I can plant them next year

Way to go, you getting some sales going. Those Lego sets must be taking up room.
Happy, good on getting the legos posted. Fingers crossed they sell soon.

Sold my first Lego set! It's very motivating to get the rest of the sets put together and listed online.
Good for you! My son had so many legos-- now the grandchildren don't have any, it's weird. Maybe it skips a generation.

Yesterday was a good day! Spent a significant amount of time online at SS and finally got applied (hopefully correctly!). Since meeting with the finance guy a couple days ago, I finally have a better handle on retirement accounts for both dh and myself. I am/have been re-organizing into better files and shredding stuff I no longer need to keep. Feels good to be organized!

Yesterday, I made all the phone calls!
Social worker regarding Mom (just a status update)
Mom's pulmonologist for appt (thankfully he will do a virtual visit, just need him to continue to prescribe her asthma meds)
National Grid to replace Mom's gas meter (something they require every 7 years)
Magazine vendor regarding one of Mom's subscriptions
This was all Mom stuff. I spent a surprising amount of time on hold and going through AI phone screening trees, despite the fact that my call was allegedly VERY IMPORTANT to them! :laff:
Then I dealt with the ongoing Tracfone mess, but that was not Mom related, and I may document that in the rants thread.
Completed the week's grading for four classes, including a set of essays, and dealt with two AI generated essays
Got my old mac laptop out of the attic and charged it up and it said the date was prior to 2001; knew it was old, but not that old, and it seems to be working
Donated another woodstove to the Southwest Indian Foundation--my goal is one stove a year and I did it last year so now I am caught up for this year, and have talked my husband into saving up his tithes and doing one a year too!

I’ve drove to the city to offload some thing I bought for $250 a few weeks ago and I hate it. So I offered it to a fellow collector in the city of St. Louis. I was in the city anyway for various errands.

Tybee: So is this a new challenge faced by educators, to determine if papers were written by the students or by AI?

Yeah, you can usually tell, but you have to have a report from an AI-checker to back it up, and we are only supposed to be using on particular one.
But we have to spend a lot of time dealing with this now, unfortunately.

I think I need to start posting here again - just to let myself know i'm doing SOMETHING - LOL.
Made bread, made sourdough pizza dough, washed/folded/put away laundry.
I have feet issues, so finally put on the new Teva sandals I bought. (Think I hesitated because I was afraid they would hurt instead of help my feet). Preliminary walking around - they feel good! Yay!
A big snow here so stuck in all weekend. Ugh.
Yesterday most of the snow was gone and I found a stone that might be a tool. So bummed to have 8 inches of snow on the ground today.
Got my 60's Omega automatic watches working and successfully changed the date. Hooray! Saw my son this week and he has gotten very into watches, so we are planning a trip to a watch repair/pawn shop once spring comes. Trying to figure out if I want to sell off any of my old watches. Did not realize how much I liked the two automatics and now I have to figure out how to keep them running--one has been keeping time since yesterday. Another one stopped in the middle of the night and then was running again this morning.
Wish my daughter in law liked vintage watches but she just wears a Garmin. My son had an old Helbros on that I bought him for his birthday last year and he loves it. He's never serviced it and it keeps great time--it's mechanical, not automatic, though.
How lucky happy stuff that the Tevas work. Tybee, what an interesting post about watches. What a cool thing to do motherand son. I got rid of MORE corn husks and blades ( I just learned that the name of corn stalk leaves) Every flower bed is FULL from the corn field across the street. My husband has pulled out at least 15 30 gal. garbage cans full. Luckily we have a meadow behind the house and the wind will shift them up to the woods. But, it is a chore I don't like because it is useless...but has to be done. I keep hoping the farmer will start rotating crops, but apparently soybeans get so eaten by the deer there is no profit. So he keeps planting corn.
We have about 4 more beds to clear of corn!

Put in two red/bright pink hibiscus and two blue plumbagos this week in some empty spaces. My pots are done. I got them all planted before the real heat so the plants could get a good start. Added three more watering units to the drip irrigation I put in, so now I have 14 pots hooked up. Also have been doing a half hour of weeding, trimming everyday. I’m hoping to get all the lines hidden this week and finish trimming before the heat. Already lots blooming. The thing I love most about Florida. Spectacular flowers.
good rain today and 75. Exactly what freshly planted bushes need.

I planted a Plumbago a few years ago. They are not hardy here and boy that was an expensive annual, but it was beautiful with those heavenly blue flowers. if I saw one in a garden center again, I would buy it.

Have been feeling very lazy and like I'm not doing anything or accomplishing anything, so I think I need to get back to listing what I actually 'do' versus what is on a to-do list.
So far I have walked the dog, made bread, made pizza crust - two for dinner tonight and then some personal pizzas for the freezer later one.
Still a lazy Sunday, but hoping to get a few more things done.

This might not sound like a big deal, but we managed to have Mom get a haircut yesterday. Her hairdresser had expressed willingness to do a home visit, but then she had some eye issues and then car issues. Mom hadn't had a haircut since about November, and boy, did she ever need one. So that is a bit of a relief to me.

FINALLY - finished researching, selected and signed up for a Dental plan!
Yesterday...
Worked for 6 hours and then left to take my car for an oil change.
Today...
After work, I plan on getting a load of laundry done and make a grocery order so I can pick it up tomorrow.
Graded fifty papers since Monday and dealt with two cheating students. That always gets me agitated; I hate it.
I made tucks in the back neck of 3 items..manufacturers of plus size clothing 2x seem to think chubby women have large bust lines...so the necklines sag on those of us who do not. I take tucks in the back neckline to keep the to from gaping.
Work should be pretty slow today but after work will be go go go when I first get home. I have to pick up a grocery order. Once home, I will need to put away the groceries, clean the litter boxes, and collect all the trash from around the house and take it to the curb. Something I already did this morning was apply for a job closer to home. I currently have a 65 mile commute each way. If I can get this job, my commute will only be 18 miles each way.

Does this mean you are all done with your medical coverage decisions?
DH goes onto Medicare 8/1/25, and he is good to go as far as enrollment in various coverage options. There are just a few loose ends we cannot tie up until he actually changes over, e.g. update coverage info in his patient gateway, get MDs to send prescriptions to new pharmacy, make sure auto-reimbursement for Part B from my former employer is turned on, finish setting up his online accounts.

As far as I know, I am , rr. I still need my initial visit with the VA vision and, hopefully, they will be able to take over or send me for outside specialist coverage for my eye issues. We'll see.
Good luck to your dh. This stuff is just so confusing! I can only hope I made good choices. I guess I'll find out eventually. LOL

I hope you made good choices, too! I've got DH signed up for pretty much the same as what I have, and so far, so good for me, so I'm optimistic for him.
