View Full Version : MMA pension fund
Apparently California just signed into law a pension fund for Mixed Martial Art fighters. Basically any professional MMA fighter that does at least 39 pro matches will be eligible to receive a check when they turn 50. The fund will come from a $1 surcharge on tickets to MMA events. From what I've learned since hearing about this on the radio today California is the biggest state for MMA. Apparently we also have a similar fund for boxers and since 2012 it has paid 171 boxers an average of $19,000.

Joe Rogan probably likes that.
