Co-worker said he had a headache. I knew I had some packets of Advil and Tylenol in my wallet as well as my car. Checked and all expired between 2016-2018. Tossed them and will have to remember to pick more up next time I hit the store.

I use expired OTC meds all the time and they're fine. I think expiration dates are often a ploy to get us to replace stuff that is perfectly good.

Posted air fryer, a spare wallet/card case, and some office supplies on local Buy Nothing group. Will see what else I can get rid of.

Why don’t you like your air fryer? I think about getting one now and then, but then I think about getting a toaster oven that also has air fryer Capability.

Takes up too much room on my small amount of counter space and it doesn’t fit my cooking style. Stove top works better for me.

Also posted some sealed candles in tins I've had for maybe 10 years but still smell nice. Just not me anymore. Also posted a camping sleep mat for under sleeping bag. I used it for a while a few years back when I needed a new bed.

Have a donation pickup scheduled for tomorrow morning, so I'll be going around the house collecting things for the donation boxes/bags.

Also added my home printer, ink, and paper to BN group. I don’t use it anymore. Someone will be happy to get it. I can always use the library if needed b

Had a ton of TP and paper towels under my bed. Have away half of the stash. People were thrilled to get it and I have more room.

Also posted a small IKEA collapsible round kitchen table. I was using it for a TV, but since that went last year, I don't need it. Box of breakfast bars I didn't like, too

The Clay School periodically sets out a box asking for donations of bowls to go to a local food pantry. I'm not entirely sure what the pantry does with them, nor do I really care, to be honest. Yes please, have several bowls from DH and I, and we thank you for taking them off our hands!

Don't know if it is the same, but the local pantry here has an annual fundraiser. Local restaurants donate the food and the recipient gets a small sandwich, pint of soup and a handmade ceramic bowl made and donated by a local artist.

After having to scramble for TP during the pandemic, I now have a small stash of it in my linen closet just in case the world goes crazy again and TP is like gold. Haha!

For some reason a few months ago, I decided I needed one of those star shaped meat choppers. I had seen a few people with them and thought it seemed so much easier to chop with that than a fork. I used it the first day I got it and then never again. It wasn't until I was done chopping meat with a fork that I remembered I had the other thing. Decided to get rid of it.

Yeah, but I had way too much. It was hidden behind other stuff under bed. So I decided to just help others.

I threw out a few spices. We got multiple spice containers when several of our friends moved away one year.

I put them in the bottom of the garbage so that DH did not see them. These were baking spices and he , hardly bakes anymore, so having one container to sit around on shelves and get old is perfectly adequate, we don’t need multiple containers of the same thing aging in place.

A broken staple gun. It took us 15 minutes rummaging through tool boxes in the barn to find it, and then it did not work, so I threw it out. This makes me think we should just systematically go through the tool boxes and get rid of half of what is in there. If DH will allow it. . .

Ha, when we talk about the desirability of aging in place, we don't usually mean spices!

I finally sold my cool little Marmot pup tent (the one I got for all of those road trips to the desert Southwest before I moved to New Mexico). Mentally, it is really hard to let go of it because those years of solo trips meant so, so much to me at the time, but the past few times I've tried to go tent camping were really hard and ultimately misery-inducing. I had to admit to myself that I just cannot crawl in and out of pup tents anymore, especially in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

At least I sold it to a friend of mine, so I know it will still continue to have adventures without me!

Had the town-wide-yard-sale today and actually did well! The goal was to get rid of stuff and maybe make a little money. Dh actually pulled several sets of weights, benches and the old stationary bike up from the basement. Sold a bunch of weights and bars, plus the bike and one of the weight benches *disappeared* off the "magic sidewalk" - ROFLOL.

Anyway, sold a bunch of stuff and made a little bit of money; had a fun day with the family that came to sell their things and it was gorgeous weather. A huge success all around.
