Well knock me over with a feather. Justice FINALLY prevailed and paid a long, long, long overdue visit to one Donald James Trump. Long overdue. I didn't even know of the verdict as we are short on staff at work and I was running all over the store today until I had a moment in the back office and I noticed SO had called several times. So I call him back and he tells me of the news with such joy - I wish I could have been with him to see his face and hold his hand. But regardless, DJT FINALLY facing the music for his numerous crimes brings nothing but pure joy.

And yes I know he will be appealing. Point being - in the next three trials, the jurors likely will be more emboldened to do what is right and convict DJT further. Sure took long enough - but at least he was convicted. Now if only the sentencing can impede his campaining - let's hope! Rob

That would appear to be the goal. How will you feel when this action results in Trump's re-election? Will you wear your special outfit to celebrate this mis-guided yet possibly greatest in-kind campaign contribution in history?

I am happy as well, because, as president Bidens statement said "No one is above the law." In spite of verbiage about the "corrupt" judge, whom Trump called the "devil," and all the rhetoric about how there was no crime, the prosecution summing up last being unfair, jury instructions being unfair, how Biden was behind it all, etc., - a grand jury found the charges credible, the judge was extremely fair (even took himself to the ethics committee), the voir dire was transparent on both sides, defense strategy was implemented, and a jury of Trump's peers found him guilty. Even if he appeals it to the Supreme Court, Trump is now a convicted felon. Should he be elected in November, which I very much doubted even before this trial, at least so far in America, no one is above the law.

As much as I complain about this country I am glad, grateful, and mostlhy relieved that justice finally visited one Donald Trump and that it appears as if even Donald Trump can not stave off justice forever. Kudos to the system and the jurors, too - they truly seemed to deliberate - as they are supposed to - and did not pull an OJ jury #1 with a rapid guilty or not guilty. I only wish this had happened much sooner - but at least it happened. It would not happen in every country on this earth, and I do understand that. Rob

I personally believe - though I don't predict - that Trump will lose again but by a small margin. His recent authoritarian rhetoric seems to be turning off Moderate Republicans and Independents, and Trump needs these to win. As Princess Leia said in the First Star Wars - "It's not over yet" - I've always liked how Carrie Fisher said it, too. Rob

Funny, they reminded me very much of the OJ jury.

Congress should’ve taken care of Donald Trump and impeached him over January 6. The rest of these charges, endless court actions and trials, etc., are boring theatrics.

The part I find amusing is that ‘conservatives’ all conveniently ignore all the other times he’s already been found guilty. It’s not at all like this is the first time that sad sack was shown to be a lying, cheating loser. Everyone forgets his sham charity, his sham university, his sham business that now can’t do business in NY state, the time he was adjudicated to be a sexual predator, etc. that’s a whole absurd amount of witch-hunt going on. Maybe one day they’ll admit they’ve hitched their horse in an effing tosser that they should have jettisoned years ago if they’d been decent people.

Lindsay graham was right when he predicted 8 years ago that the Republican Party would be destroyed if they made this mega maga loser their nominee. May his prediction finally come true. And that their embrace of this wanker destroy Graham too for all his subsequent efforts to pretend that trump isn’t out to destroy this country.

I assume he owes the 400 million for his NY business dealings, although it's possible for some sort of appeal. The story I've heard is that his supporters know of his personal transgressions, but they still like his policies. I sometimes think of his violations of the ten commandments and his ongoing support from the religious right.
