A favorite of mine from Brazil '66, Brazil '77 and into the 2000's with various groups. He was 83 and family lists the cause of death as long covid.

Just saw that elsewhere. I'd forgotten some of the songs he had done.

Well, I recal the cover of the Beatpools song, from my days waaaay up North in Ak. But yeah---that was 55 years ago. The Beatpools rendition was kind of a slow and whiny song, where the Brazil 66 version was more upbeat. Quite different, and they prolly coulda saved on royalties by making the song different, as well. those beatpools(the mop-topped foursome from liverpuddle) already had more than enough moo-lah. yup.

Loved his music. My dad was a Herb Albert fan and I think I first heard Brazil 66 when my dad bought their album because it had Herb Albert's name on it. It was wonderful, and the first time I'd heard music that wasn't in English. I was maybe 10? But it made a big impression, and I have a fair number of his albums stashed somewhere, including that first one of my dad's. Now I want to go find them, and play something! :- )

Aw, that's too bad. Sorry to hear.

I had their album which had what looked like --ahem--a hillside silhouette. I played that thing over and over. I only have Fool on a Hill in my head right now, thanks bobby, so I can't come up with any of his other songs. But I will listen to some now, in memory of Sergio. He was very handsome as I recall.
