I did what little I could and sent the Colombian Embassy in DC an email asking them to consider giving the Merchans refuge in Judge Merchan's native Homeland.

But I worry. I can see their lives being at risk given what the United States has become. Do you believe they will remain safe? Rob

I wonder how the Colombians will label the file that message goes into.Likely my email will accomplish nothing - but at least I did SOMETHING and at least I made an honest admission of the truth of this country to a foreign embassy. That's more than most Americans are doing for the honorable Merchans. Rob
