I think the holiday season deserves its own rant thread. Is it too early to start?

As we were cleaning out a corner of the garage, I ran across crap that people forced on me that I did not want.

every year we get a present from our broker.

It is always rude to presume a gift is forthcoming so I cannot write to our Wells Fargo broker and say “hey don’t send us anything this year. Please. I mean it just don’t.”

Ah, yes, the crap I used to get from coworkers until I put my foot down around 2008 or so.

Reminded me that I need to contact my brothers before they order anything. I hate to wish time away but I am already wishing it was January.

My Christmas shopping is done. Got 3 of Republic of Tea’s holiday assortment box for the people (mother and daughter) who host me for Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as for the friend who helped me after my surgery. Goddaughter will get cash. Cards are started and I have enough stamps, bought earlier this year. I didn’t have enough cards, so I asked for some on Buy Nothing group, and got a good stack.

Those tea boxes are $15 each and were very well received last year.

I've started THINKING about it. That's about it so far. LOL

I'm late this year, too, but do love Christmas. Only rant I can think of is traveling over Christmas but plan to stay home in front of my tree, which I will get up early this year and may cut one from our woods, just for fun.

All I want for Christmas is the other owner back, so I can have a day off.

Well, he is dead, right? My friend, I don’t think that’s going to happenL

The one who is an idiot, who spent four months in a hospital bed, not his brother who I would have been better off with (although the way they had it set up, we would have had to close, due to failure to keep licensing up to date).
The amputee that finally got his shoes and now has to do a bunch of rehab, due to loss of muscle tone. I may have to have surgery in January, otherwise might have to close for a bit.

oh, ok. This has been such a hard time for you, I’m sorry it’s still ongoing.

well, wouldn’t you know it, just when I complain about something it turns out ok.

Our Wells,Fargo broker sent a holiday present of a little Blue Tooth speaker. this was something I was thinking about getting anyway. How about that? Ya never know what the future will bring.

Hey, that's great! Those speakers are so useful!
