I understand Trump hatred has a lot of people upset, but to jeopardize your job just to scold Trump voters on your social media account? Oy.

The editor of Scientific American, Laura Hel uth went on a rant about Trump voters ( many of whom are her readers) the night of the election calling some of Trump's supporters “the meanest, dumbest, most bigoted" individuals…”

She later deleted all of her tweets. A week later, she resigned. Since this is the same editor who has presided over the unscientific opinion expressed in her magazine that male athletes have no advantage in women’s sports, it’s just as well she’s gone.

An official at the university of Oregon same deal: “You can literally go **** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump,” said Leonard Serrato on his social media along with other choice words about Trump voters. Soon after he removed the rant and closed his social media account. But too late, too many people had seen it and saved it. So now his job is in jeopardy.

And in Albany, the New York Financial Officer for the regions’s Ronald McDonald houses, Michael Coleman , was fired after he allegedly drew swastikas on Donald Trump campaign signs in October.

Dudes, just chill out.

This all reminds me of my favorite woke marketing executive Alyssa Heinerschiend who sunk the giant beer brand Bud Light with her exuberance in disparaging her customers. They are just fratty Dumbos after all.

I was impressed by the commitment of those women who shaved their heads and announced a sex strike to punish America, especially male America, for voting so wickedly.

At this point, I'm just curious.. curious how all this stuff is going to play out. If what's beein going on since the election is an indicator, I think we can anticipate massive change, like Government 2.0. Will it all be bad? Will it be an existential crisis? Will there be some good that comes out of it? I don't know, and I don't think anyone does. But the fact that the government appointees are almost all private citizen billionaires and the rest are known Trump a$$-kissers, I think we could conjure up a really interesting dystophian Netflix series.

Maybe the US will get a total re-branding.. anyone have any clever ideas? If they can turn Shea Stadium into Citi Field, why is hard to imagine The United States of Trump X.

Hopefully the resistance will coalesce into a united front. The glass may have a little water in it, but it's not even half full.

Ellen Degeneres moved to England, that bastion of free speech and liberty (not.)

Supposedly it was the Trump election that motivated her to leave, but her Montecido house was for sale months before the US election.

I watched Ellen‘s recent Netflix comedy special and it was gently humorous, very Ellen. She talked about how getting fired in Hollywood and all the hatred that came her way was pretty hard on her. I still like Ellen DeGeneres despite all of the bad press she got for misdeeds which were probably over blown anyway.

I think she moved to the Cotswalds. I could move to the Cotswalds, although I would need my kids to go there, too.

Couldn’t we all move to the Cotswalds and have a charming cottage there? Oh yeah, baby, I would love that!

I’m sure Ellen and Portia do not have a charming cottage though, they probably have a giant ass house.

I see where Krugman had his last column in the NYT. One guess I had was that he got tired of explaining how good the economy is, and people still voted for Trump because of the price of eggs.

My eggs seem to be about the same price as they have been for ages.

I know, the peasants are so stupid. Can’t they see how the stock market is doing?

The guy basically spent 25 years arguing that government should empower guys like him to make economic decisions rather than leave them up to the free choices of willing buyers and sellers. Toward the end, he seemed to prefer insult to argument; which I suppose is an irresistible temptation when you believe you’re dealing with your inferiors.

Speaking of firing, I see where Wray has stepped down, which is probably just a step away from being fired.

So, my news has featured SUV sized drones flying over government facilities and the White House for days. One GOP representative, who's name I missed, says there is an Iranian mothership of drones anchored off the eastern coast flying mission for who knows what. If I were the FBI director I'd be concerned. No one seems to know what they are. I'm not hearing about any investigations.

I know how that is. My Calculus instructor looked down on my math skills for a whole semester.

The government has always had economic advisers in some version of decision empowerment. At least Krugman isn't a Larry Summers.

I enjoyed that. Ever since the SNL conehead skit about chicken embryos and shredded swine flesh for breakfast, I've never cared much for eggs. Bacon is different.

I know a vegetarian who makes exception for crispy bacon.
