View Full Version : WSJ article on customs brokers
If you have access to the WSJ, there is a big article on customs brokers due to tariff situation. Good explanation of what I do and why it’s such a mess now.

I remember how hard you worked to get that licensure, and how much respect I felt you as you kept at it and kept going for it.
I will check out the article. Your week must be intense--we're in the snow storm today and hope you were able to stay home today.

We had freezing rain last night but the roads were fine in my area this morning. Worked from home yesterday afternoon due to some work in my building.
Thank you for your kind words. It has definitely paid off financially.
That was an interesting article, Tradd. It does give me a window into your world. Even though it's all still Greek to me in a way, it seems so complex! Good luck weathering the whiplash! I hope it all settles down soon.
Interesting article. I can't imagine having to work under ever- and such quick- changing rules/regs! I'm totally impressed by you!
Interesting. Thanks for the link. It really does highlight the types of jobs that no layperson would ever give a second thought to. There are probably THOUSANDS of these relatively anonymous positions out there that no one ever thinks about that make our world run as smoothly as it does (or used to) until someone like Trump/Musk mucks up the intricate workings of it.

There is is a quote in the article that importers have this kind of thing on autopilot until there are sudden changes. Then panic time.

thanks for that info Tradd - nice window to your world! My BIL had an import business for many years, and he said it was so important to have a decent, competent brokerage. His stuff all came in thru the west coast.
