I have been more and more psychologically disconnecting myself from the United States but today something was said by DJT that takes the cake, at least for me, given that I have family in a much, much, much better country in the EU.
Today DJT announced 25% tariffs against all goods imported from the EU (not just the upcoming 25% on Canadian and Mexican goods) and said the following - that the EU was formed to "screw the United States." Personally given how much better EU countries are - so much more humane and citizen friendly than the United States - I find this the one most downright evil and inexcusable thing the man has said to date.
What's your take on alienating the much better countries of the EU with their much higher quality of life? For the life of me, I fail to see the purpose (to quote my Austrian cousin's husband) or the gain of alienating the EU - but I would be keeping close tabs on which EU countries take the strongest Anti American stances - these are likely countries that may grant retaliatory political asylum for US citizens as things get worse and the tinder box of the US explodes.
