The last few times I’ve made a purchase and used PayPal as the payment mechanism, a mysterious system automatically supplies my former address in the seller’s web form.
When I log into PayPal and check my settings, checking my account, it lists my current accurate mailing address,
Where is this my former address coming from and how do I get rid of it?

I don't know; one time I had that problem and went on Paypal and it was listing the old address, and I changed it, but it sounds like you already had the right address.
Is it a merchant you used before that you haven't used in a long time? I had that happen, too.
My guess is that your iPad or laptop or whatever you're using is autofilling fields on webforms and is simply using your old address.
Not sure how to correct it, but I'll get back to you.
Edited to add: On iPad, go to Contacts, your name should be at the top of the list with the text 'My Card' underneath, tap your name and check the home address you have listed on iCloud, if it is your old address, update.

in My Contact there is a record for me but it does not list any address. It lists phone numbers, email address, distribution lists I am on.
but I will take this advice and will update that contact record with my current address to see if that knocks out my former address wherever it’s secrectly sitting.

Thanks to you both. I will see how this shakes out the next time Imcharge something to Paypal.
Tybee, I have never ordered anything from this vendor, DavidAustin roses. It is remotely possible that I once went to their website and filled out their order form and then abandoned it, so maybe that is a factor.

Oh my gosh I love David Austin roses! The idea that they might be stalking me and trying to sell me roses is really attractive.

Well, yes I guess. I ordered one rose bush from them, and now they are showing up in my Facebook ads, and that is not an ad I dislike.
When I go to the florist the David Austin roses are twice the price of the Ecuadorian types, but I love their bowl shape, like a ball cut in half stuff with petals inside.
I have avoided roses in gardening for years because I absolutely hate the thorns, besides we didn’t have much room in our city Gardens for anything other than Iris and Lilies. But now that we have 1 acre, I can buy shrubs. And I got DH to agree to do the Rose pruning so I don’t have to touch them.
Tell us, Iris Lilies, which roses do you plan to buy?

I bought the bush rose “Silas Marner. “. I wanted a short rosebush with true pink flowers, not apricot – pink.
These bushes did not come as short as I wanted them, but I took the shortest one possible.
I might buy more later, but I want to see how this rosebush fits in.
I did buy several The Fairy polyanthea rose bushes last year and they are already doing fine, I see they’ve put leaves out this spring. They are a very tough little beast and are the only roses I have personally grown in past years. DH has had some tea roses but I don’t mess with those.
Do they have a strong fragrance? That's my reason to buy one! I had a wonderfu rugosa rose, raspberry but it eventually succumbed to the Maryland humidity...and inept cultivator!

I don’t know, the David Austin roses are known for their fragrance so this one probably does. Fragrance isn’t that important for me, I’m looking for flower shape and color and secondarily bloom time.
Ah, so we differ on the draw of a rose.

Once again when ordering something online from a company I have never ordered from, my former address popped up as a suggested delivery address.
I think it’s stored in some database that supports online ordering mechanisms.
