I’m reading that there is an effort underway to “decolonize” Stratford-Upon-Avon. Not sure what that means, exactly. I doubt that it involves dealing with Roman or Saxon or Norman influences. I hope it doesn’t involve trigger warnings for “Hamlet” or “Coriolanus” or sensitivity readers removing offensive language from “Othello” or “The Merchant of Venice”.

I also see that Charles lll used his influence to keep the Royal Navy from naming a new warship “Agincourt”. Wonder what Henry V would make of that. They decided to name it “Achilles” instead. Hope they don’t offend any Trojans. I don’t know which is more ridiculous: the British shrinking from one of their more famous victories, or an egotistical American president wanting to designate a sixth generation fighter aircraft F-47.

I enjoyed stumbling across Oliver Cromwell's family home a few years back on a bike ride, and discovering it had been turned into an incredibly cheezy museum, and an escape room.

There’s a gift shop I’d like to see.

okay---i figure it's because those moo-zlums queen isabella & the pope tried so hard to get rid of in western Europe are finally making a comeback, and are exerting their influence to rid the provinces of statues of confederate generals on horseback. Figuratively speaking, of course. The voters didn't elect the King, and I figure he'd be a demmacratt living in SF, if he took up residence in the USA. 'Bout it. Thankk Mee.
