Small wreath that Amazon didn't want back when they issued me a refund. Husband suggested using it somewhere else than where I intended to but it looks so cheap and plastic-y that I'd rather just declutter it instead.

See the "Rant" thread for my latest purge. Contents of my shed that no longer have any use for me--a lot of random things like a ton of plastic nursery pots, an electronic rat trap, old plastic tablecloths..I could go on and on. Three contractor bags full. My shed interior looks awesome! Everything in its place.

Went through my recipe binder and got rid of a few that I no longer make. Also got rid of all but the current and previous month's dinner menu. Just need those two to alternate planned meals. Don't care what was served in past months.

Got rid of a $145 monthly bill. Canceled our landline phone and internet. I had no idea we were still paying for internet with Verizon because we have had internet services with Xfinity for years!!

Also got rid of 4 cordless phones from bedroom, rec room, living room, and kitchen.

Wow!

Yes, wow! About $50 for phone line and $50 for internet. Rest was fees and taxes.

Today's item is a forehead thermometer. Bought during Covid and never used and will never use.

That's great, Klunick.

Town wide yard sale was rained out yesterday, but the rain held off so far for today. Got up and out early, but not a lot of foot traffic. Got rid of some small things, have three items out on the "magic sidewalk", and put a bunch of the more usable stuff in the donation box.

So, sort of a declutter of items in a round about way. LOL

I am going to try a magic driveway. We are rural, but on a "main" route, so I think if I put the bike out and some other things they may get enjoyed by someone.

I miss our Magic Alley in the city. It gave to us, it took away that which we did not want.

In the hospital again. Basically a UTI on my Nephrostomy side. Surgery delayed, so tired (woke up early prodded every 20 minutes, no more sleep), thirsty, hangery, Ostomy exploded, was dealing with that when I got the call about the coowner that kept putting his foot in progress forward of the business after being out of it for 15 months (and thinking it had been three years). He passed, and then spent the next long bit doing contacts.
So my purge, dealing with my estate, and the cluster that was his brothers, has turned into my sibling, finally getting legal with his F-i-l's estate (last bit never done was subdivision of property they are living on), and then when M-i-l passed, she provided so many years of taxes for a lake front property for the family to figure out who wanted it or not, that one case has been filed and on the last date of the F-i-l one, b-i-l hired a last minute attorney to ask for a dismissal, without cause (delay tactic, doesn't want to deal with reality, expects to be just given stuff that doesn't belong to them).
That B-i-l, will soon be receiving another lawsuit as his kids wanted to buy the lake property, the two siblings wanted to sell out, which leaves him and his kid as owners, and he has been trying to block all of that expecting siblings to walk away and just give it to them.

Then theirs my other sibling family drama. In laws family "took care of", embezzalled a lot of their estate money, last year to protect the last of the nest egg, access was limited. Not going further, just everybody is all dealing with get your shit together, and you better be happy about it.

The idiot, coowner, had treated his nest egg like water, asked me to remortgage my house for $80k more, sell my old house and just give him that cash, so he could leave it to his girlfriend, and if I am lucky, I get the 30K life insurance he left me as a beneficiary of.

Greed, stupidity, and laziness, and some still wonder why I want to get my estate handled so quick.

Well, maybe they will come get me for surgery soon, I am Hangery................

I'm sorry TMS, I hope you were able to get your medical needs met. You shouldn't have to deal with drama and business dysfunction while you are dealing with such serious medical issues.

When people around me start acting like that, I resort to singing the song "God Bless the Child"

Them that's got shall get
Them that's not shall lose
So the bible said and it still is news
Mama may have, papa may have
But God bless the child that's got his own, that's got his own

Ughh.. it's so frustrating.

I'm glad you're hangry. That's a good sign. Prayers for a quick surgery and recovery. Scr*w ti and the rest and take of yourself.

So he died at 8:30, by 9:30 off to be cremated. Later that morning, he called the gal that works for me, sounds like trying to get her to handle estate stuff, that is her job as the Executor.
She wants nothing to do with the ashes, and people are coming to be about celebration of life.

Released from the hospital early because early antibiotics, turned out to be the correct one for my infection. So I got very overdue on my pain meds today, dealing with all that.
Not counting the drama in the family that is my support group, so I am trying to give them some space they need.
Then working on business ownership updating. death stuff.

A pair of slippers that I thought I had to have back at Christmas time. Wore them a couple times after getting them but not since. Have been sitting in my closet for months.

I’m sorry to hear about all of this TMS. Just because people are asking you about a celebration of life event for this guy doesn’t mean that you plan it. if he has named legally an executor, there’s no reason for you to be involved in any of it except the pieces that touch your business.

Social Interaction 101 is recognizing that little voices always make “a bid” for attention or an answer, but that doesn’t mean you have to take up the bid.

I've got 3 boxes of pots and flower arranging accessories from Mom's house to donate to the upcoming garden club plant sale. I dropped off a small bag of stuff from my own house to Saver's last week. I did go in for a browse, but did not buy anything. I also put together a bag of nicer clothing and jewelry for one of our favorite local "boutique" thrift shops.

Only one of my 4th of July decor pieces got decluttered. A little fireworks stand that I'd put on the mantle along with other decor.

Also another recipe from my recipe binder. It's hit or miss most of the time that it will come out edible so I decided to just purge it. Tried making it last week and it still wasn't fully cooked in the middle after being in the oven for an hour.

Six listings on Marketplace sold! Love it when one person buys a bunch of stuff. LOL. Money in pocket, stuff out of house!

Excellent, and only one person/transaction involved for multiple items. That's definitely a win!

Finally pulled the trigger on something I had wanted to declutter for months. The knife block that I had on top of our fridge. We only used the four steak knives and one of the larger knives. We have probably had it for over 25 years and those have always been the only knives we've used. I ended up putting the steak knives with our everyday silverware and the large knife in a utensil drawer. I ordered a sheath for it which will get delivered tomorrow.

Nice! And you reminded me that I have a knife block with knives we mainly use, but then a section in a drawer with a bunch of knives. But, I really think only TWO get used from the drawer. I should/need to donate the rest of them. Thanks!!!

Spent a good portion of the day cleaning out and organizing loose recipes. Then moved on the work binders - so much stuff shredded! The two shelves look great!
