How to leave a comment on someone's blog?

My DD is in Italy and set up a blog while she's there, so we can see what she's doing. I want to leave a comment, but it won't accept it. I can't ask her for awhile, since she's having trouble finding internet service very often. Do I need to "subscribe" somehow first? I clicked on the "subscribe" button, but I didn't quite understand what that was for. I just want to be able to leave a comment, not start my own blog. Any suggestions?

It depends on how she set up the blog. Bloggers usually have the option of not allowing comments from un-registered posters unless specifically authorized by the blogger.
Chances are you won't be able to leave a comment until she allows you to.

I have friends who can't comment on my blog for some reason, no matter what they do, unless they use a different computer. Is hers on Blogger? It can be awfully glitchy.
