My DH & I are in San Francisco celebrating our anniversary. Last night we had dinner at Chez Panisse, and it was astoundingly fabulous! Good thing, because it was also expensive. If you love incredibly sumptuous food, I highly recommend it!

Congratulations on your anniversary! I have a co-worker whose last day was Saturday and he is moving back to the bay area. I was talking with him how long it has been since we have been there. So much to do and see -- and -- lots of great places to eat!

Felicitations on your anniversary, and add me to the list of SF fans. It's lovely--and so easy to get around! Great mass transit and lots of neighborhoods to explore.

It is especially nice to hear that a restaurant lives up to its reputation as so many don't in my experience. Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniverary, redfox. I loved living in the Bay Area for just that reason - now it's just a "nice place to visit" because I want to a) own my own home, and b) have some space around me. But I like to visit and eat my way through the city.

I have always wanted to go to Chez Panisse, or at least the cafe. Some day I will get there. So happy to hear you enjoyed it.

Congratulations!

One time I was at an international conference on sustainable food and other growable sustainability issues. Alice offered to do the food for the conference.
Deeeeeliscious!!!!!!!! Also very innovative and interesting. So each meal genarated much discussion and delight.

Treehugger! I am back in Seattle. I TOTALLY forgot about contacting you... it was in my plans at one point. Darn it all! So, save your pennies to go to Chez Panisse. And try lunch first. We did the all-out weekend prix fixe menu, and it was freakin' expensive... so glad it was good! Let me know if/when you go & your experience...

Oh I didn't mean I was expecting you to contact me. :) On your anniversary weekend, you shouldn't worry about getting in touch with random message board people. I only was curious if you were still within "shouting distance" cause it was a nice thought, being in the same geographical location as redfox.

So, what else did you do while you were here? Where else did you eat? I wanna live vicariously through you!
