View Full Version : Ideas for a Special Weekend
I'm on the cusp of a glorious new relationship. I've fallen hard. The man I'm so smitten with is coming for a weekend visit, and I'm just not quite sure how to make our time together as special as I want it to be.... We're planning on cooking our meals, so I've thought some about that, but what else? I'm between jobs and low on funds, so I'm looking for frugal romantic ideas. Also, I don't think we'll be leaving the house much. ;o) I have candles and lots of good music. What else?

do you have a park close to you? Maybe a picnic somewhere, a walk though a garden, you have to get out sometime! I looked at the weather for your area and it looks gorgeous!
h, it *is* beautiful out right now. I'm very rural, though, so no parks. I do have a lovely dirt road to walk with him, though. :o) Great sunset views.
Massages... Olive oil works well; have a tub full of hot water to immerse into afterwards if the oil is bugging him. Poetry to read aloud, or any short story you love. Soulful gazing, and lots and lots of sex. Enjoy!!
just go for coffee and croissants and alovely bakery and cook all the rest of teh meals at home.
So many super ideas here! My addition (suggestion), enjoying all that your time together holds. Let things fall into place naturally. Whatever, however... Enjoy. (More often than not, not overthinking things makes for the best events/times of all).
Tell him that studies show that the most effective aphrodisiac for women is watching a man do housework! Then give him some rubber gloves, an apron, and a feather duster, and get your freak on! LOL!
I like it, Selah! It'll get *me* in the mood, at least!
Mrs-M, you're absolutely right. Oh, but I feel the need to *do* things to get ready. Guess I'm just not being very patient, am I? :o)
Kally, croissants sound delightful. What a good idea! I haven't had breakfast at a bakery in years!
And Redfox, apparently, he was a masseuse long ago. I've never had a massage before (or even a back rub), so I'm quite looking forward to some hands-on work. :o)
Thanks, guys! I'm loving these suggestions. What fun!
