Check out "Finding Life Beyond Earth" on PBS. It's a new "Nova" 2 hour documentary which is awesome!!!! I think it's a follow up to the 1999 "Life Beyond Earth" PBS show.

Oh, Spartana, we just watched it a few evenings ago! Awesome!!! Did you see it? Nova, is one of my favourites. Always excellent programming.

One tidbit that still stands out in my mind is black holes. If planet Earth encountered a black hole and was drawn into it's gravitational pull, the black hole would take our planet and compress it into a 2" diameter ball as it swallowed us up! Goodnight Irene.

Well I guess that would be one way we could all fit into size 4 pants ;-)!! I'm also a "space junkie" but love the planetary sciences the best - probably because we have been there with probes and can actually "see" what is happening. Not only do I love all the various VASTLY different physical traits of all our planets and their moons, I am absolutely amazed by all the technology that allows use to fly into comet tails and land on astaroids and cruise past distance planets & moons in the outer reaches of the solar system, and land the moon, Venus, & Mars too, and return spectacular photos and data. Just blows my mind!

CathyA. No need to worry, for as the old saying goes, "it would all be over in a flash"! :laff:
