thank you for all the alerts about the wave of spam that came in from new user (well, spambot, really) blufavy. I have deleted the users and there should be no further posts from it. Unfortunately, in my jet-lagged haze at 4:30 am, I mistakenly deleted the user without first "pruning" all its messages. That means we need to go in and delete the spam messages one by one. I will be deleting them as I see them, but it may take some time. For now, please just try to ignore them.
Apologies for letting this muck up the boards -- at least now we have some very public evidence of what a mess spammers make of things. We'll do our best to keep them out, but the level of spammy membership requests is unbelievable (100+/day) and sometimes a bad one slips through our screening process.
