The blind strings in my dd room window are breaking...I was thinking we just need to bite the bullet and order a new set. Then I saw in the phone book a place that will re-string them!

Has anyone ever had experience having their blinds re-strung? Was the $$ worth it?

Are you talking about venetian-type blinds? My folks used to do their own. I don't really remember them complaining about it, lol. Here's a link:

We had a set done (professionally) a few years back, and it was ubber cheap! $15 or something along those lines. Well worth the money. Well worth the saved frustration and headache. Same day service, too!

These are the bali type - fabric.

We have also had our venetian blinds re-strung, worked great, cost about $30. New ones would have been $400.

I'd call them and see what they charge, then price new ones to compare.

Thanks for everyone's input. I just had no idea this could be done - it's always nice to save a dollar!
