Would love to hear about any frugal foods, activities, or celebration activities that people come across in this week's New Year's celebrations.

Info from previous years welcome, too.

Nothing extraordinary, but also not frugal as this is one of the few times a year that we go out to eat as a family to celebrate.

I was born in the year of the dragon 1952...does this mean I will be extra lucky or something????

This is the year of the Water Dragon, of which I am one. The link I'm giving discusses what the year may bring.

Thanks for the link worldfoodie, It looks like we might be having a good year. I didn't know I was a water dragon.

The different foods sounds like a fun exploration to do for the occasion.

Fun to read the Chinese zodiac signs. I am of the Sheep in that world and surprisingly, when I checked out all the family's signs, there were some fairly true characterizations.
